  • As a former employemployee it's two weeks at the longest if it's gonna take more they send a refurbished or new one back in its place

Get it sent away it will definitely be less than two weeks. No chance of them straight exchanging in store I tried for several customers
  • He would lose. They haven't refused to repair it; he has chosen not to let them.
  • Every time he contacts them they make a ton of promises about a new phone coming in next week. A couple of times they have tried to fob him off with some rubbishy thing and then more promises. I suppose trading standards is who you moan too but I suspect they will get away with it because of the wording of contracts as the phone is not actually paid for I suppose as it is 'given' with the monthly contract.

What phone is it ? Just get it sent away and you have a new one within two weeks :S

That would be true, he would lose if he refused a repair but if they have promised a replacement and are stalling it would be in his favour.
It's not just about the money

He doesn't say they have. They offered a repair and he's looking for a refund or credit instead.

Yes the OP said that which is why I said it had to be sent back, I think you are confusing my reply to PlymouthMaid and PlymouthMaid doesn't say her partner refused a repair

  • Crossed wires then!
