Flight Delay American Airlines operated by BA. Am I entitled to compensation?

Hi All,
My flights were booked through American Airlines from London Heathrow to Dallas Fortworth with a connecting flight from Dallas Fortworth to Lima.
The London Heathrow to Dallas Fortworth flight was American Airlines operated by British Airways. This flight was delayed by 2 hours resulting in my connection flight being missed. The next flight was a further 24 hours which I was put on.
Does anyone know if I'm entitled to compensation? I was provided with accommodation and food vouchers by BA but I did miss out on a day in Lima and a lot of hassle rearranging meeting my group and travel.
Thanks in advance

Please don't start a new thread, when there is already a thread relating to AA and BA.
What makes your post worse, is that a very similar senario was discussed less than 24 hours ago.

Please do a bit of research yourself, before expecting others to do it for you.

Thanks for the link. All I needed was a point in the right direction. I didn't understand the difference in posts and threads. As you can see I am new to this. I wasn't trying to make somebody else do my homework.0
