Help!! PCN from Minster Baywatch

Hello,
Wonder if anyone could help me, today I received a PCN from a company called minster baywatch. I genuinely forgot to pay for a parking ticket! I park here everyday and pay every single day but today I just forgot! Am I able to claim? Will I end up being taken to court? If I manage to win the claim will I still be allowed to park in the same car park?
Please help, I don't even know where to start with the appeals process!
Thanks in advance

Not if you follow the instructions in the Newbies thread.Lockylocky10 wrote: »If I manage to win the claim will I still be allowed to park in the same car park?
How would they stop you?Je suis Charlie.0 -
Of course I'm worried I don't want to not be unable to park in the only car park in the whole town of where i work!
Thanks for the replies, just seen loads of info online about MINSTER BAYWATCH taking people to court!0 -
Also, it was a genuine mistake not paying for a ticket. because i have not paid for a ticket does it affect my chances of appealing?0

I have had a PCN windscreen sticker, do I need to wait until i get the letter through the post? Also they put my wrong numberplate number on the paperwork does this make it invalid?0

Hi,
I received a PCN on my windscreen earlier on today, having done a bit of research i have a few questions to ask an expert...
The numberplate on the PCN has been typed incorrectly, they have missed out two letters, does this make it invalid?
I have checked the BPA website and it states that minster baywatch can 'self ticket and ticket' but are prohibited from 'ANPR and Debt recovery'.
I mistakingly didn't pay for a ticket do i still have a leg to stand on when appealing?
Do i need to wait until they have issued me a 'Notice to Keeper' letter through the post before i appeal?
After considering the above points is it still worth appealing now or is it best to wait?
Thanks!0 -
Wait for the letter in the post, in the meantime go and read the sticky thread. After considering the above points is it still worth appealing now or is it best to wait?
yes wait, forget about any early discount/special periods early birds etc you are going to be paying nothingDo i need to wait until they have issued me a 'Notice to Keeper' letter through the post before i appeal?
a mistake is something very different to deliberately didn't pay, and there are often reasons for the mistake ( poor signage etc etc)I mistakingly didn't pay for a ticket do i still have a leg to stand on when appealing?
if your able bodied then you have got two legs to stand on.
I woudnt take that too seriously the BPA are a members trade association whose main purpose is to further the aims of its members that is to support private car parking companies in their efforts to fleece the motorist.I have checked the BPA website and it states that minster baywatch can 'self ticket and ticket' but are prohibited from 'ANPR and Debt recovery'.
is this the one attached to your vehicle? If so then wait to see if anything arrives, if the Parking employee has made a mistake then theres a chance that the mistake will also be in the system and some random person will get your parking charge, as before wait to see if anything comes. The numberplate on the PCN has been typed incorrectly, they have missed out two letters, does this make it invalid? From the Plain Language Commission:

Definitely wait for the Notice to Keeper in January, do nothing for now as long as you are the keeper at the DVLA (not a company car). Keep that PCN safe - YES it makes it invalid! DO NOT RESPOND YET.

Show us where, from this latest report from the Ministry of Justice, there are any details of the number of cases Minster Baywatch has taken anyone to court.
Or show us your source of information, so we can bookmark that for future reference. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
