Jobcentre want to see bank statements

Hi all, was wondering if anyone had any advice.
I'm currently claiming esa, iv had a letter for an interview to check my payments are correct and I'm receiving the right benefit. Iv been asked to bring ID, tenancy agreement and 3 months bank statements.
My esa benefit is paid into my fathers account, if I take the statements in and tippex his incoming/outgoings and just leave it showing my esa payments would this be ok? I'm worrying why they want to see me.
Thank you x

Do not tippex out anything.
Explain what's happening.
A certain proportion of claims are regularly assessed, to check they are legitimate.0 -
Is your father your appointee or is there another reason that the money is being paid into his bank account?
Is your HB paid into his account?0 -
Hi. My esa is paid in to his account as I don't have a bank account, and I receive my hb as a cheque which I cash at a local cheque cashing shop x0

Do tippex them out - unless you have his permission as your fathers income and spending is confidentialWeight loss challenge, lose 15lb in 6 weeks before Christmas.0 -

Having your ESA paid into your father's account may cause problems (as you are finding)
Why don't you open a basic bank account or a post office account? A basic bank account is a particular kind of account - see this link:

Yeah I am going to after Christmas. The lady on the phone said they wanted to see my payments I get so I am just going to leave them showing and tippex out my dads stuff, hope that it doesn't get me in trouble but like it's been said his money is confidential x0

The only problem I can see is if it is a joint account.
I presume your dad gives you the money rather than your being able to access it yourself.0 -
No it's not a joint account, he withdraws my esa when it gets paid in and then gives it to me x0

Don't take the advice to blank out anything on the bank statements.... They already know you get ESA so what's the point of showing them pages of tippexed bank statements with just your ESA going in. These checks are in place for 3 reasons...that you are receiving the correct benefits and that your income is the same as you proclaim it in order to claim benefits.
They may require further information because your proof will not be clear cut because you don't have your money going into your own account. Have you looked into a Post Office card account they are for people in receipt of benefits who have problems obtaining a normal bank account.0 -

The Job Centre have no right to see her fathers information.
It is not a joint account, you do not have a bank account, so do not have bank statements to show them.
To show them your expenditure only show them the withdrawal from you dads account and any receipts for cash expenditure you have built up over the last 3 months.
The receipts from the Cheque cashing place would also be worth bringing if you have them.
You cannot show them what you do not have - you can only explain the situationWeight loss challenge, lose 15lb in 6 weeks before Christmas.0
