I have got Elemis and Molton Brown stuff from some hotels - I use it to make Christmas gifts for people sometimes.Weight loss challenge, lose 15lb in 6 weeks before Christmas.0

I don't know what the legal position is but I am guessing that, if provided for your use, the hotel has factored their price into your tariff and they are yours to keep. What I can't figure out, is who you think would want to buy them!0

Why would anyone want to buy them on eBay?!0

If you have part used the toiletries and you take them with you to finish off then I think that's great. I hate to see useable stuff being thrown out, but if you take unused toiletries purely to sell, that is stealing in my eyes. If every guest took all the new toiletries then the cost of all those extra items would be added to everyone's hotel charges, so we all loose out.

The OP is staying in these hotels on business and I assume the company is paying for the hotel. In that case taking stuff from the hotel to sell on ebay, could reflect badly upon the company, so the OP might not only have to answer to the hotel, but also the company that employs them.
My other comment is Why?0 -
I believe I pay for these items in my hotel room, the better the hotel the posher the toiletries. I note that Travelodge has refillable containers over bath and basin so one wouldn't take those but as I provide my own shampoo I always take home the little bottles the hotel provides. A sort of swap!!!
I then take them on holiday with me to The Gambia and give them away there. I'm told they are much appreciated.0 -
NO
A family member works for an airline.
When they stay abroad, they always have their own toiletries. However they take the ones the hotel provide, package them up and send them to charities to take to poorer countries.
Why don't you do the same instead of trying to make a few pence (after fees, effort to post et al...).0 -
Wow!
Didn't know people sold that sort of thing on Ebay. When I stay in hotels I take all the complimentary stuff (excluding toilet roll).
Would NEVER consider selling though. Way too much effort for me!!0 -
When I stay at a hotel, I generally tend to take the shampoo and soap for future use. I tend to keep the little bottles for when I travel, and sometimes get 2-3x uses out of them.
Selling them on seems somehow wrong.
It's a bit like going to an exhibition, taking loads of free pens and flogging them on ebay - not right.0
