Newbie parking notice from care parking I appealed it then found this site-

Hi new here and I received a parking notice on my screen from careparking when at a shopping place. I appealed this and was refused and have since found this site.

Basically cold wet day, parked the very back of car park while I run to cash machine facing, got cash ran back moved closer to the entrance. Driving home seen a ticket was attached to my screen and when I checked online it was issued when I had run to cash point.

Sent appeal which was refused on basis I shouldn't of left the car park at all. Charge is £100 reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days.

States I can log appeal to POPLA

Threatens court action.

What shall I do next?

Thanks

Should tell you on the letter of rejection they sent or by looking up the company on the web

If they sent you a POPLA code then they are a BPA member. This makes them far easier to beat.

Oh I've just found BPA and DM UK so I gather it must be that.
    Thanks

    Thanks. Fingers crossed.
  • Sorry to sound stupid but can anyone advise.

In the letter I appealed (I've since read and I put stuff in it I shouldn't of) I admitted I was the driver and also admitted to leaving the car and running to a cash point. It is a free car park to customers.

I dont have receipt and I paid cash. At the time I also did log a complaint with the company and I have still not had a response.

Do I need to now go right to the POPLA appeal stage and if so can anyone point me in the right direction for how I shoukd word this has I can't find it on the threads. I have seen the top sticky but is this all previous cases?

    Thanks
  • It's OK. Don't feel as though you have to complete it in the next five minutes. Read this post and choose the areas that best suit your situation.

It was a free car park.
Care Parking don't own the land or have a contract with the owners to claim any money.
There charge is a penalty and they have no genuine pre0estimate of loss.

Expand on these points and others but be aware that Care suggest they can purchase car parks on their website.
