Travel delay query

We were delayed for over 7 hours back in March 2011. Like others on this forum, I didn't keep copies of the boarding passes nor can I trace which credit card I paid on. I can quote all the other details required to make a claim but when I wrote to Thomson, they said that they didn't keep passenger lists for that long. Am I really unable to claim compensation? I have tried the CAA and ATOL and keep getting fobbed off so can anyone help me find a solution?
