  • Vague sense of irritation happening today - still got no idea when I'll be able to take my holiday time, not heard anything from the agency about the other job and thanks to being very busy at work I was shattered when I got home but managed to fall asleep on the sofa for a couple of hours so I'm now not tired.

The plus side I've cleared my email inbox of surveys and met my swagbucks first target for the day.

Done some more plan making today as I managed to have an whole day off which was rather lovely.

Booked myself a holiday - being given roughly half of the cost of it by my parents as they paid for my sisters flights earlier this year.

Need to do some sorting out of my wardrobe in hopes of putting together a wardrobe for a week away from it - most of my holiday clothes are in the apartment in Tenerife.

Worked through the inbox and cleared it of surveys again, also got stuck back in to the instagc holiday offers, usually a good boost to the earnings if I can keep it up so I can use amazon vouchers for Christmas pressies.

Finished a couple of surveys this evening which tipped me over redemption thresholds.

So £10 on the way in to my paypal account, and £20 Sainsbug voucher from another site.

Spent some of today in work trying to make sense of the weekend bookings.

The agency called me to say that the job I was up for they've offered to a friend of a friend (it's a really small company) for a much lower salary than I would have been going for. But the consultant does seem to genuinely want to help me find something else, had a good long chat about other things I'd be willing to try and how my current skill set would fit in to different boxes than retail and hospitality so it still feels quite positive.

As far as the bloke goes, he claims to still be busy, not seen him in 4 weeks so I'm declaring myself out of it, if he gets in touch with a decent excuse I might see him again but I suspect it's unlikely I'll be hearing from him again as I'm not going to be initiating a conversation.

Done some holiday shopping, my usual carry on case has 4x bikini tops and 3x bikini bottoms in it, along with a few bits of summery clothing I've washed and hadn't put away yet. I also picked up a couple of pairs of sandals in the Debenhams sale when I went in to town earlier. Need to work out if I have any shorts, skirts or light trousers in the UK or if thats something else I need to try and find!

    Weekend is now completely free.

Apart from a quick s.e job in town tomorrow - as long as it's not raining I plan to walk in to town, do the job, pick up some fresh milk, cheese, and probably a nice loaf of bread and then walk home via work to check the rota as I can't remember what time I put myself down for on Monday.

Got home today to find an interesting collection of post behind the front door, a book - Christmas themed, a bottle of Heinz mild yellow mustard (free sample, actually a small full sized bottle), and a £10 Sainsbug card from one of the survey sites.

Thanks to the quiet weekend I've brought home food which ought to make my main meals over the weekend, chilli and rice and coronation chicken - just need something to go with the chicken (probably the bread).

Decided I didn't feel like a walk in to town so walked to the local shop instead, bought the cheese and bread but forgot milk, so that is tomorrows job when I do have to go in to town to do the job.

Had a bit of a clean up of the house this afternoon - somehow I've put out another 3 bin bags of stuff and listed four sets of things on gumtree. This evening I'll open up the magic box of dvd's and see about getting some more of them sent away to CEX/mm.

Home from doing my job in town, popped in to Sainsbug for the milk, and came home with a couple of multipacks of crisps as they were on offer and a parkin - mainly because I've never seen Parkin for sale down here and I love the stuff. So thats £4.50 spent on groceries using the gift card from the survey site.

I'm trying to work out a budget for myself for food/toiletries etc but really struggling as it can be so unpredicatble when I'm in work and getting fed or not - for example this week I've worked mainly afternoon through evening shifts so haven't had to buy food for dinners, and lunches but next week I'm mainly on earlier shifts so may or may not get lunch depending on what the chef is making or how hungry the guests are.

This weekend the only food I've eaten that I bought myself has been the bread and cheese, and some milk in brews, and I still have one meal plated in the fridge and a good portion or two of veggies as well as a bowl of chicken which if it doesnt go bad will easily last two or three meals.

Did a couple of hours in work this morning, got home and went back to bed, not because I was tired but because it was so cold in the house. Read a bit and chatted to a friend on skype for an hour or so. Finally got back up at 5 to find a brew and have a piece of the Parkin, currently on the sofa under blankets debating what to have for dinner.

Just had an email from paypal letting me know I've had a deposit from one of the survey sites so have just logged in and transfered £6 to my bank account. £4 from the foresty survey site and £2 from tvsmiles - which I'd seen advertised and thought I'd give a try. Took about a week to amass the points needed and then another week to get the payout, seems a lot of work for not huge rewards but when I max out on mobile sbtv apps I'll keep giving it a go as a few £'s here and there are better than nothing.

Home from another muchly joyful day of work.

Found in the post behind the door today the first post which is part of a postal survey I was invited to join a few weeks ago, so logged it and have got the returns envelopes ready to be dropped in a post box over the weekend.

Posted the returns this evening after work.

Just booked the last of my swim events for next year, just need to find a Triathlon or two now.

Also got my car parking booked for the holiday. Need to sort out currency this week and then I'm all organised.
