Just been catching up scuba - I've never heard of the "Ceremony of the Keys" at the Tower - I'll have to look it up!

This is the best description I've found although the how to get a ticket section is out of date. http://golondon.about.com/od/londonforfree/fr/CeremonyoftheKeys.htm

Been a fairly quiet day at work, and the colleague has taken the bike although she didn't have any cash on her so will pay me next week.

Currently trying to work out if theres any way I can give myself Monday and Tuesday off work without upsetting the others......would be my two days off and mean I can go down to the south coast to possibly see a friend I've not seen in ages, otherwise it'd mean heading down to the south coast and spending a couple of days hiking on the coastal paths.

Wasn't able to get the days off.....achieved the exact opposite and am working both days instead. Impressive isnt it.

I have however just ordered my first reward from Bounts, a £5 coffee shop gift card so I can treat myself.

I've also put bits of the newer bike together, unfortunately the brake cables are fighting back and I can't get the front one to go back together, so until I get that sorted I'm not risking riding it, and I wanted to ride in to work tomorrow as am on a fairly short late shift so will be going to work pre school run chaos and coming home before it gets dark.

Got the bike sorted, and been out on a test ride, felt good, saddle might still need to go up a little but the saddle itself isnt particularly comfortable - although adjusting the height and positioning of it might be all the tweaks it needs to feel better.

Followed the 4.8mile ride up with a 1.5 mile run. Seem to have cracked the sub 11 minute mile pace since I've managed that for the last couple of weeks - although I was surprised I managed it post cycle too!

Not quite sure what shape dinner is going to take this evening, I've either a bowl of soup thats been open a few days so really needs consuming with a doughnut for dessert or chicken, fresh veggies, a potato waffle and the doughnut. Both options will be served with a bottle of wine and a straw. :D

Think I have a plan for next week - book the whole lot off, and go in on Thursday for the meeting to add to my TOIL hours for later.

So need to check and book it tomorrow then look for train times to take me down to the South coast. I've been invited to a focus group in London tomorrow night so I'll walk/run in to town tomorrow to book train tickets for both.

Finding it hard to motivate myself properly so have booked myself on to two Open Water swim events, one in July before my Tri, and one in August after it. And have registered with skyride and booked a place on a semi local 14 mile ride in a couple of weeks - if I can survive that then I'm hitting the tri distance I just need to run afterwards and swim before. :/

Home for the night after the first part of my week seeing friends.

Amazing few days at my friends house, lots of cuddles with big soft dogs, getting to know her children and oddly it was the first time I've met her husband properly.

Done a load of washing and ironed a work shirt for Saturday so I can take it in tomorrow when I go to the meeting just in case I don't come home Friday night.

Came home tonight, had a lovely time with my friend but forgot just how much like hard work it is following a conversation with a non - native english speaker.

In other news I won a scratch card prize on the perk app, the points were added to my account the other day so while I was home I redeemed them for a £25 paypal deposit. That arrived this morning so I've transerred £28 in to the bank.

Glad you had such a lovely time at your friend's house - it does you a lot of good to get away from normal routines! And the cuddly dogs sound gorgeous!

I managed to get to cash- out on Mintvine - $10, which I've received in Paypal. I do really like that site and I'm on my way to a second cash-out now!
