I'm number 26 and I overpaid £140 in February. I would need to change my mortgage overpayment figure to £2500 as I've been off the bandwagon in March and April as I have been paying for holidays (China and Dubrovnik and the spending money to go with it). In May I'll be back on track!
Also towards the end of the year I will be saving for a second deposit on a property and aim to save £20k in total whilst still maintaining mortgage overpayments on my home which is a fantastic investment property so don't want to sell. I've got £2500 in savings and another £3000 in shares (before profit is considered but I'm making money on them all) so I'm over 25% there but it's still going to take a while on my wage.Mortgage 1: May 2012 £90,000 April 2020: £47,000
Mortgage 2: £270,000😱 Jan 2019 £253,000 April 20200 -
I paid another £1,650 in, making my balance for this month (estimated, interest is due to be added in a few weeks)...
£6,300
Still on target for a September payoff, assuming I don't see a shiny thing in a shop0 -
#9 with £159.81, it's been another spends month!0

Hi Lomcevak
Missed the start of this challenge as I have been dealing with other challenges in my life. They are not likely to be resolved any time soon, so I may as well try and take control of what little income I have, for as long as possible, before it stops.
So, please could you put me down for a target of £2000 for the year.
Thanks
TxStill striving to be mortgage free before I get to a point I can't enjoy it.

Sorry all for the lack of an update last weekend, life took over and I couldn't find the time. I'm recovered from the Marathon, finished just outside 3 hours 30 minutes, ever so slightly disappointed as it just slipped away from me in the last few miles, but it was tough in the heat - jealous of the cool conditions for the London runners today, but i'll be back next year
[Deleted User] and Tahlullah, welcome on board. I've added you to the spreadsheet, if you could let me know any OPs to date that you'd like to include then i'll add them in, and [Deleted User] please could you let me know your target.
Well done all for all the OPs, some spectacular ones again this month. But i'd also echo the comment to kbl not to lose heart; it's good to keep the momentum going and even small OPs make a significant long-term difference0 -
Thanks Lomcevak that's great:) I'm aiming for £6000 this year and so far have made OPs totalling £12700
