amazon help needed

sorry to post this here but can't see any board it belongs on and I know people here will buy from amazon

I brought something from amazon direct and it hasn't arrived estimated delivery was 11th december, tracking is not available.

I can't see how to contact them to tell them it hasn't arrived

On some of the orders in my account there is a button saying "problem with this order" but on this purchase that button isn't available but the delivery date has passed. I ordered it on 7th Decemeber.

I don't want to leave it too long before I do anything as it it my sons main christmas present.

I haven't ordered from Amazon for quite some time, but I did hear that a friend had the same experience today. They chased the order as it was their OH's main present and then found out it had been cancelled!

Tbh I usually email, or ring if it's urgent (as for a refund on one occasion).

Does the order show as being dispatched?

What exactly does it say next to the order? Post what it says and someone is sure to be able to help.

yes it says dispatched 8th december estimated delivery 11th december.

I didn't know you can ring them. Where do i find their telephone number?

I think I will have to get another one in town as I said this is the main present, I have to have one before the 25th. It will cost me extra, I not so worried about that more that I dont want to end up paying for two! the item is £40 on amazon £50 in the shops so can't afford to end up with both!

With Amazon you can return free if they deliver past the due date.

Many items are late just now due to the volume of items bought on black Friday and cyber Monday, some couriers have notes up on their sites to advise of delays. I ordered something from eBay and got it within 48 hours but wasn't expecting it until next week. I think the backlog could be the reason you don't have your item.

Theres a customer service email address, you may need to Google but they do respond to emails.

It's only two days over its estimated delivery date - and there will be a backlog of deliveries from last week, as well as Christmas delivery. I'd at least leave it until Monday or Tuesday.

It might just be a delay with the post and if it was anything other than the main present (the one on the list we sent to santa) I would not be so worried. I think I will buy another one from a shop just in case as I daren't risk not being able to get hold of one. If it turns up than at least I know now I can return it.

I am panicking as when ds went in the shop to look at some today (he likes to keep having a look at what he getting :rotfl:) they had sold out :eek:
