I have 1 of those big jars of hotdog sausages in the back of my cupboard and would like to use it up without making hotdogs.
Any idea what i could do with it?

Horrible things but DD1 loves them. I cut them up and put them through a tomato pasta type sauce. I have been known to chop them up in her stir fry too. I have to say that it is hard to disguise the taste if you don't like them.
Oh, I also open freeze them once the packaging is opened as they never get used up all at once. Then I chuck them in a freezer bag and take out a couple as needed.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These

Make a hotdog paella.
Chop hotdogs into slices, fry for a minute or two in oil, add rice, stir rice in pan for about thirty seconds or so and then add boiling water, tomato paste or puree, paprika and black pepper and a dash of lemon juice. Cook for about 15 minutes until the rice is fully cooked. Add boiling water if necessary so that it doesn't get too dry. Towards the end add chopped basil or mixed herbs.
You can add all sorts of things to paella to add flavour, variety or to bulk it out. Chorizo sausage, other sausage, chicken pieces, ham, peppers, mushroom, onion, wine etc. Be limited only by your imagination or the contents of your food cupboards.A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".0 -

I sorted a ravenous teen with a packet of pasta & sauce with a can of hotdogs chopped in & now keep said items handy in case he comes crashing in ravenous again.0 -
