Booked with Flyglobespan??- The New Con Is On!!

I have to agree with most on here about t and c,s, and why is it that people feel conned ,ripped off etc etc when they have not read them.

I have never flown with globespan but did look on their home page where it quite clearly, under baggage, says IMPORTANT read... how much more info do you need?

Looks like globespan are bucking a trend. All the other airlines let you take on hand luggage seperate from you checked in baggage. So take heed before you travel with Con Air, sorry, globespan.

As I said, thomsonfly aggregate the two weights in comparison to the 25kg allowance. I don't really see that's any different to FGS apart from the fact that 25kg > 20kg.

Obviously it depends on what airport you flight out from because when I flew with mytravel last year, it was 15kg suitcase & 5kg hand luggage & they weighed everything & were very strict at Bristol!

I am flying with globespan this Thursday so will make a note of all this, thank you

We have just flown Flyglobespan from Exeter to Hamilton (Canada) & return with no problems & the hand luggage was never weighed at either bag check in. The flights were on time & all went to plan.

I have just come back from a return trip to Cyprus. Flight left 30 minutes late both ways but arrived 15 minutes late at both ends.

They weighed my hand luggage & suitcase at Stansted & were very strict, charging other people in the queue for being only 2kg over (the check girls were English).

At Cyprus they weighed only suitcases & didn't seem fussed as people in front were about 10kg over & they didn't say anything or weigh hand luggage (the check in girls were Cypriot).

Overall as good a flight as BA & Cyprus Airways, only downside was no entertainment on the plane. They had handheld devices for £5 but they were only showing tv series which I had never heard of.

Would definitely use them again

Just flew for the first time with Globespan and we read our info and knew that hand luggage was included in your 20kg. They only weighed the hand luggage of the people whos case were near the 20 kg, a few people were charged on the way out.
