Where to buy dining table and chairs?

Hi. I'm after a 6ft dining table with 6 chairs, preferably wooden table and padded seats on the chairs. Does anyone have any recommendations? I'm in Manchester. I don't mind buying from a chain store but I'm not sure of the value of doing so.
Thanks in advance.

Unless you really want new, my advice is to look on ebay. Bought a lovely solid oak table for £300 which would have easily cost six times that new.0

Facebook groups? My sister is on one and they have dining tables and sofas all the time, cheap as chips if you can collect and pick it up straight away.0

Not thought of those. Thanks for the advice guys.0

I second ebay, bought a lovely solid wood table and chairs in perfect condition for £850 delivered. Table alone is over £1600 new.0

I used these guys for an extending oak table dining set, was good quality. I'd been struggling to find a solid oak table, most are only veneered. They have some nice stuff.

Second hand. Auction house, ebay, facebook etc.
New. Have a look at https://www.greatbritishfurniture.co.uk for manufacturer details. Corndell do some nice products and all solid timber.0 -
As all the tv programs tell us , brown furniture is no longer in fashion and bargains are out there. Was in a charity warehouse, saw a stunning table and chair set, solid hard wood for £300, must have cost more like £3000 when new. But it was dark brown and too large for the standard house.0

Not sure where you are in Manchester but in Oldham there are two super charity places that sell second hand furniture. Bulky Bobs and Surplus Stock (Facebook page).

I second British Heart Foundation. I got my dining table and chairs from there. Quite a selection too.
Several stores in the Manchester area. https://www.bhf.org.uk/about-us/find-bhf-near-you?keyword=manchester&servicetype=furniture-electrical-store0 -
