Party food for 500 children

It just occurred to me that if you don't need the cakes to be wrapped (ie for consumption on site and not for a party bag) then mini-mince pies might be just the thing. Usually retail around £1.50 for 12 - less than 13p each? But you would have to buy at least 43 boxes.

Guess what I'm snacking on atm?

I am not sure mince pies would suit that many children tbh. I think fairy cakes or cupcakes would be a better bet. Personally, I love mince pies but I think it is more of an adult taste.

Do they need to be wrapped the cakes? Asda do packs of iced fairy cakes, about 12 for around £1. Or mini Swiss rolls 6 for about 40p. Can buy big bags of things like chocolate mini rolls etc.

For drinks I would buy the boxes of individual cup drinks and have a look at the big boxes of crisps which will work out cheapest x
