Nasty long hair in coop curry

I bought 2 low fat ready meal currys from the coop, their own brand. My wife found 2 long hairs with bits of meat attached to them. Horrible.
What would be the best way to go around reporting this, should we keep the hair ? I have photographed it. I also have the outer card with all the info on.
All i want is my money back, not any free food as I have lost faith in their hygene.
Thanks.

Just take it back.0

if you want your money back take it back
if you want to report them to officials on the basis of poor practices at the factory - environmental health
whilst some may say it is petty to report them you need to bear in mind there could be a bigger pciture and the authorities can only do stuff if they are informed (not to say they WILL do anything if you report it)0 -

I'd suggest you should get some lucky white heather...your luck is historically dodgy.0 -

As hair is primarily made up of protein, it contains very little fat and so meets the labelling requirements for the meal concerned.
Seriously though, if there is meat attached to the hair then it will be a hair from the animal concerned (what type of curry was it?) and unless you want to pay extortionate amounts of money for every ready meal that you buy to be hand prepared from start to finish, you will occasionally get things like this happening.
It might not look too appetising but it's unlikely to have done any harm if eaten.0 -

As it came from the coop, I'm guessing that it was chicken.0 -
I recon you should email their customer service and see what happens.0

As MSK states, e-mail (or phone) them.
The chances are that they will send you a few vouchers to compensate you.The Co-operative Group
