    Morning all!

Payday today, and with a little overpayment on top I'm now at...

    £14,501/£15,000.... or 97%!!!

    :j:j:j

Nearly at my target for 2015. In fact, I could reach it tomorrow once I've done a few calculations as to whether I could pay off my whole First Direct loan, which would take me to 109%.

Still some way to go with the rest, but there is still the tiniest outside chance I could be completely debt free by Christmas...

Ok... sorry for the third post in a row, but I've just transferred £1000 to First Direct, which isn't fully paid off but will be soon. That takes me over my year's target! :j

Also, I got a letter from the Student Loans Company saying I am nearly paid up, asking me to change to Direct Debit. Nearly there!

    New total...

    £15,503/£15,000 103.4%

Declaring for the year and bowing out of this challenge for now. Sorry to bring the thread down. Congratulations to everyone who has become debt free and everyone making efforts to reduce the amount they owe.

I have thrown everything I have at this debt but my 'up for sale house' has not yet sold (will not get income from sale this year). I have done a cash flow for the coming months and do not have enough to get through Winter. I have contacted Stepchange and am going to go on something called a TPP (Token Payment Plan). I will make minimum payments of £1 a month to my 4 creditors either for the next 12 months or until the house sells (when I can pay them off).

I have started the last 3 months without any money for food after the bills and cc minimums had been covered. The plan will mean I start with bills covered and money for food and will give me a breathing space to build an emergency fund, return to full health (fell over in a chair whilst gardening and couldn't get up by myself plus lots of minor ailments which meant my flu jab had to be delayed) and get my business running properly again (profitably even?).

Good luck to you all on your journey.:T

mothernerd :)down but not out (will bounce back).

Oh no, mothernerd! Sorry to hear it's not going to plan at the moment, but it sounds like you're taking great strides to sort yourself out. Well done for facing up to it, and things will gradually get better.

Good luck, and hopefully we'll see you in next year's thread x
