Congrats Mat_Lock exciting news :j on both counts.

We complete our house purchase on Monday 16th but i aint counting it as debt as such- its cheaper than the rent and we have to pay to live in a house :rotfl: ;)

Totally agreed. Our rent currently is £1100 a month between us both. We pay £1400 in to my 2nd account. Which covers all rent, bills, insurances. We pay over the odds so we have a little slush fund built up which we are now using to buy baby stuff already haha.

Our mortgage is going to be roughly £800 a month so we're saving £300 straight away, madness how much rent is compared to mortgages. It's just that deposit for most people are always impossible to achieve.

Rent is not too bad here but we purposely chose a cheap rental so we could save better... Mortgage is likely to be about the same amount!
