I'm happily checked into my posh hotel for the night. I've spent the last hour going around touching things and saying 'oooh'. I arrived at the desk at exactly 3pm to get the maximum amount of time in my room :rotfl:

They have this faux fur throw on the bed that is the softest thing I've ever felt. I may have also jumped up and down on the bed a bit once the concierge left :o

I'm loving reading all of the elite roundups of money saved and money earnt. Think I'll stick around and see in the New Year with this motley crew if that's ok? You lot have been an important part of my 2014 :)

  • Good afternoon:wave:

I've spent the morning cooking a delicious piece of t finest gammon.. Reduced of course. Not as good as some of you get in your locals but £11 ish down to £7 and chopped in half to make two joints.. I'm happy with that.

cjj it doesn't matter how simple or shallow your goals are in life...as long as you feel you have achieved them:) and give yourself the recognition when you have:)

Mine last year was to make more of an effort to have time for myself I started off simply 2 minutes applying my favourite moisturiser after a bath, progressing to applying a bit of makeup and doing my hair properly (just showing it a brush didn't count:rotfl: before the school run:) I think we all loose our identity once we become someone's mum/mummy we forget the person we were before they arrived and become the "no time for ourselves" frantically wading from one task to the next without time to stop and think or appreciate what life has given us. Mine this year is to develop my above routine a little further with my clothing... I've treat myself to quite a few new items in the sales and as its my birthday in a week mums going to give me some pennies towards them instead of the usual toiletries, I've still loads left from last year. This is in the hope that it will give me the incentive to choose something different other than the skinny jeans I wore yesterday just because they are the nearest.

What ever you choose for your goal I'm sure you will achieve them and I wish you the very best for 2015:)

For anyone who hasn't fallen asleep during my ramble:rotfl: I too wish you the best for 2015 here's to health and happiness and some exciting new glitches along the way:beer:

    Afternoon Nannylala :)

I didn't go to mums but she rang at 10-15am saying had I forgot it was Wednesday ;) because I hadn't turned up. I think I upset her when I answered I was staying home trying to get bug out of my system and didn't want to catch it again at hers. She's still coughing and just lets all germs fly around her flat no holding her hand to mouth or sneezing / coughing into a tissue  She coughs down phone so I know she still at it.

I might go Friday if weather ok because Poppy got appointment at vets 9am. She needs her injection :) Mum lives halfway between my house and vets so me and Poppy got a long walk.

Fluids help . If you make something to eat you may not be able to eat it. :(

Same to you Happy Healthy New Year :A

Hi there. A New Year's Eve price collection:D:D. I rather enjoyed today, it was quite exciting this time:rotfl:.

It was me causing mayhem this morning and afternoon, this time in Sains and Morr. First, to Sains. It was thank you indeed to Mr A for putting a lot of prices down - and below more usual £1 prices. You may remember last time I suggested I was having difficulty finding items as A were so expensive. Hard to find ten items at £2 in S and £1 in A. I had £4 cond spend off £20. I originally was going to wait until this Saturday, but decided to go today in case Mr A suddenly put prices back up on a few items that were already on lower prices from before this week. Though, to be fair, it doesn't seem Mr A is as bad as Mr T on this: they do seem to keep prices down in A for a bit longer than Mr T does, up one week, down the next, though perhaps that's because A doesn't usually promote an expiry date and then it seems to be on r'back price forever, as opposed to elsewhere having expiries and then the dates seem to come up all too soon.

Now, though, much easier. I am liking Frijj milkshake £1.30:D S 50p A and Dairylea Light Triangles 125g £1.35 S 50p:T A, each contributing more than half their prices back. £20 shop, £4 cond spend, £5 of Nectar points (that cost me nothing to obtain), £10 BM from last time and I figured that giving them £1 real money to get the £10 back and being able to get the £4 off, was worth it. Nice £10 BM back out. I got capped by one penny, but the £4 off more than outweighed that, and easiest items to do things. I was almost disappointed that the BM worked - I could have done with it failing by a pound or so and points equivalent onto my Nectar card via HQ, thus reaching another £2.50 amount available for next time. However, it worked and was not to be. I will just be spending an exact £10 then next time:p:rotfl::rotfl:.

In M, the Beansprouts finally turned up again, so no problem with them this time (they weren't much of the excitement though). And...guess what should now suddenly appear in my main store after two weeks of absence? The Cadbury Festive Friends:rotfl::rotfl: - still on 2 for £1.50, until 4 January, but surely must not be completely safe and not that you can find them anywhere else:rotfl:. On the seasonal stuff (or just gone season), some people must have been getting the 4m Wrapping Paper put down to 98p - when the 2m Wrapping Paper was always 30p:rotfl:. The 2m 30p version disappeared completely for me on Monday - so I thought maybe they're wanting people to buy the more expensive 4m at reduced price 98p. The 2m is back though, at least in some stores, and I now have it at 15p. Still a bit pricey:laugh:.

Quite a lot of change, in the sense of further items to add. I always felt that going on the Wednesdays, almost immediately after a Monday, wouldn't have much change: however, prices change every day and shows that the Wednesdays are still useful. Although I feel I have a little more than usual today, I haven't yet had a Wednesday when there was completely no difference to the Monday. There's always been something that's altered, so the Wednesdays don't seem to be totally useless and pointless. Northern Ireland - sorry, look away again from now.

Just highlight the 24 pack Birds Eye Crispy Chicken Dippers - £1.62 for M is a better price than the previous £3 on the 42 pack (£3 expired in M - probably the wrong ones to be getting in A - A £3, M now £4.25:eek:). The more expensive £3.25 24 pack in A would be much better, if it picks up correct M price. I reckon wait till Friday late afternoon, even though this was on on Monday.

The BE 4 pack Steambags that I have already on my list are definitely £1 in M. They did say 2 for £3 on msm/m.com but now - yes - they do have the £1 on there.

I think several of the TCB Snap & Save items all go vs M. Was one of the above Steambags on there? Also Flipper Dippers are £1 in M. I seem to recall Bisto Bangers & Mash - yes, indeed, they are £1 in M as well. Also WW Ocean Pie 300g is 87p in M. That had got me as I thought they were all 320g and the Ocean Pie is not, however although the Ocean Pie is not in my store, it is stated on the offer label, so it should be available vs M. If not, well, you'll probably get CB on the items making up for some of it, and good other comparisons - if the APG collectors have done any price collection since Christmas:rotfl:. New items therefore to add and maybe good ones.

Kipling Viennese Whirls at 64p - but apparently plenty of time on that as offer due to end in February. May not be on just yet, as offer wasn't seen on Monday (we should be on Monday now on the APG - maybe not available to Scotland who knows?). Just mention the Tiger Loaf 800g at 65p in M, even though it won't get onto the list. Kipling Mince Pies on RTC:rotfl: 89p:eek::eek:.

In fact, as time is now pushing today and possibility this may be changed by Friday,
I ought to mention the most urgent one:

Dans Truffle Cake - the mint version - on 37p in my M. The packs say 75p and 2 for £1 on them, so wonder if the mbuy reduction still comes off the 37p x2 price? If that were to work, it would make the two 24p in total, i.e. 12p each:money:. I think I'll not bother with straight 2 for £1 pricing in future:rotfl:.

This next one not urgent but just to mention. No bubbs beef. Or - not actually bubbs beef - as, as far as I'm aware, it was only ever suggested that bubbs beefs are the Mr A Butch Sel. versions but I mean the equivalent to bubbs beef that we had at £3.99/kg in M. None found in any of my stores today - I suspect they will compare against the expensive Topside joints price now in M. £9.99/kg:eek::eek: - wonder whether, if you bought the Topside in M it might compare vs bubbs beef?:rotfl: (Probably not, as it looks like the "1.5kg" bubbs beef is now £5.97:eek:/kg in A:(, only the 2.6kg (or thereabouts) are still £3.97/kg - and the Topside Joints in M, if they compare to anything, are likely to be smaller and compare to 1.1kg in A which is £9.50/kg:eek::eek::( (all according to msm). Tell you what - I'll just remove 'bubbs beef' equivalent altogether shall I?:rotfl::rotfl:)

The above and anything else will be changed on the M list 'as soon as'.:)
