Thought you were going sofa shopping today Naebarric. Was looking forward to hearing your progress! Not many furniture shops in our area any more. Been to Dobbies today for our free drink. Rubbish sale everything just half price but shelves still cleared. Amazing what some people think is a bargain!
Hehe, I did go sofa shopping today, online.
I was doing 'research' before we went out, and found a lovely black leather three piece suite, with recliners on the sofa and the armchairs, reduced from £1600 to £629. Free delivery on a day I specified, and they are going to unwrap it, set it up, and take all the packaging away.:j:j Couldn't say no for the price, very :money::D
DH very happy not to have been dragged round the shops, though I must admit I would've liked to see it 'in the flesh' so to speak, and plant my behind on it;)

Hello gorgeous!! :j
Xmas stress.....family craziness...you know the carp I mean. I've tried to destress by doing the quiz as regularly as poss, sadly no chance to get on here, besides, even if there was the most fantastic glitch, I wouldn't be able to get away from the clutches of spinster aunts (evil) and condescending uncles, not to mention devil spawn (cousins). I tried to get away to meet up with friends and got the whole 'he's going to a stripclub' carp.Seriously?! pffttt
Thankfully my immediate family is 'normal' so I only have to put up with this bs for a short time..... gonna need a holiday after all of this!
How the hell are you bubbs? Hows your wrist??? Is it back to normal now? Hope yer not in any pain lovely lass!
I'm in dire need of chocs to boost several bdays gifts in Jan so I'd love a good glitch! So when I saw SFSB's post I got over excited:rotfl:
Yes they are both done and both good thanks:D, going to have a better year next year as hubby had cataracts op in both eyes as well this year, my turn, his turn, my turn and lastly his turn again:rotfl::rotfl:

Well our afternoons bowling was somewhat ruined by a bunch of what I can only describe as ignorant cretins :mad: who thought it was funny to take the pee out of the fact that DS2 was using the bowling ball launcher thingy. So angry that people can be like that  they weren't kids either. They were older teenagers.
I know he doesn't look obviously physically disabled, unless you pick up the awkward way he moves. It's actually quite a feat given his poor balance and co-ordination that he manages as much as he does.
Don't get me wrong, it went right over his head as most things like that do. He knew what was going on but just doesn't care in the slightest was others think of him (which is a blessing at times). It was upsetting for the rest of us though. I didn't cause a fuss about it because that would have given them attention they don't deserve. Instead I walked over and quietly told them that I hope when they have children of their own, they are born with no problems and they never have to listen to others making fun of them. None of them said a word and they left a few minutes later.
Hi FC :j
Sorry, I don't really know you as I'm a poor excuse for an 'elite' member as I'm always late to the party and don't have the balls to do a glitch justice but I just wanted to say, I think you rock!!! The way you handled this situation was very dignified and the perfect way to deal with ignorant twits. Just wanted to say yer awesome! And, frankly, I think your son is too since he didn't give a damn about them! :T:Tif you don't have anything nice to say, keep schtum.

thanks x
Might be worth going back with hours that suit, if it dosent work out u can ALLWAYS quit, I know u don't need the money but it sure comes in handy on a rainy day, I gave up work over 2 years ago turned 40 mortgage paid no debts I did enjoy 'my free time' but am getting a bit bored now. No kids to keep me busy. Do think long & hard & best of luck whatever u decide0 -

Apologies but so far out of the Elite loop I could be on another continent
Apologies for my absence but it is a stressful time
A quick update
Fourps Mum had a bleed on the brain on Christmas day. She was transferred to the Heath hospital in Cardiff where we expected treatment,
Unfortunately nothing was done except she had to lie horizontal & not move until today when the Registrar returned to work
On Sunday she got worse & was giving up the will to live:(:(
Today she was meant to have the blue dye thing in her brain to see the extent of the bleed.
I am only receiving texts from Fourp who has stayed with her, instead she was operated on at 10.30am & did not come out of theatre until 4.30pm.
She is now on a high dependency ward & things are grim
Why oh why did they leave her for so long?
My Parents have gone home & I'm working until Weds - so on a limb here.
She will never have the same quality of life & our own lives will have to change to look after her.
Fourp has no intention of coming home for several months as his position is by his Mother's side ♥
Anyway enough of me & my troubles, just needed to write it down, please skip & ignore meOur Family Motto ~If all else fails - read the instructions...
