I was warned by weather mad friend last night one of reasons to drive home today. As long as nothing interrupts the trains I can cope.
Lovely being back in my own bed tonight:)

I too get bemused by the 'freezing' posts. Wen I were a lass :D (well in my early 20s) it was so cold the toilet froze and we had to have a calor gas fire under the loft hatch to stop the tank from freezing. And......I survived  Never even got a medal either :(:p :rotfl:

    I said 'God's Own Country' didn't I, so yes of course it's Yorkshire:D:D
But only rain/occasional sleet elsewhere on the journey home, so very localised, it appears.

The A1 is broken, very broken with snow, jack knifed lorries and abandoned cars.... please avoid!

I have been warm and fed and surrounded by people I love very much. So yes, a good Christmas.

Santa bought me a stack of books, some lovely Hunter Wellies and a Breville Blend Active to make smoothies. Lots of Batman and Star Wars gubbins. PD got me some make up, and a giant kinder egg, amongst other things ;) Santa was very good to me this year. You? I love hearing what people got for Christmas :j
Cheese and gin:D Some very smelly cheese (from the French side of the family) and artisan sloe gin.
Oh, and some clean bedding (Egyptian cotton, 350 thread count ... I've got used to it now:)), some wellies as well (not posh ones, though:cool:), hardboiled crime fiction (what books did you get?), soap and smellies, and a tin of these - just in case I need a sugar rush

What did you get for other people? That's what I love to hear.

And once a week you had to have a bath in a tin bath, and then TV's were invented :p

Naebbirac C'foot had loads of lynx around 4pm. I didn't think to scan as had not caught up.
Just past where sandwiches are for some reason. You could get lucky if no lurkers ( if you do find them could I have a couple please as not going anywhere for a few days as exhausted).
