But only rain/occasional sleet elsewhere on the journey home, so very localised, it appears.'It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.'

Looks like I've been bad, sorry if I got anyone in trouble, back to read rules fully so hopefully I don't make a mistake again, sorry
It's okay, the Elite will keep you on the straight and narrow ... Erm, hang on, you may wish to come back during the Day Shift, Night Shift have a reputation for leading people astray .

Haven'T fully caught up so apologies if I miss anything important but...
congratulations abailey54, hoping you're ok and enjoying time with baby.
Bananababe, hope you're alright. Sounds like you made a good choice though as it was sounding all a bit stressy and unnecessary. At least you should be able to concentrate on college now.
Snap-ant, thoughts and prayers with you and fourp.
VT, sorry it was a difficult one. I think sometimes it's hard not to give in to the pressure of making it all lovely and important and sounds like sil was overwhelmed. Going away sounds like a great idea. Where do you want to go?
This year for us was the easiest yet. We had it at ours and had a few of the family over. So much easier to let girls go to nap in their own beds and not have to run around to other people's houses straight after church! And my bil, who's a non-drinking alcoholic, was calm and sociable for the first time in the 10 years I've known him so that made it better too. He normally causes huge arguments!
Hope you all have a good day. No sales for me. Ordered a couple bits online but tbh, nothing at acceptable prices now. (Elite, you've ruined me.) Dh, doing boxing day dip, so will spend rest of the day bringing him hot water bottles to defrost him!
Thanks but sil was being an !!!. I never give in to pressure to make things nice. I buy well thought presents but never go over the top.
I was quite capable of sorting cooker but sil knew better.
He also knew how lucky we were to still have dad with us as was not expected.
I was not expecting anything from this Christmas except to be in mourning so the day was a huge bonus.
I do prefer to spend alone. My friend and I used to go up north delivering presents on Christmas eve the each spend our day alone. Strange but worked well before dgc.
Still deciding but would prefer a cruise but so expensive travelling alone so I could book a villa in florida although weather could be too dodgy. Another choice is family in Australia but then would have to conform or book a mini break for the festive period. They go away afterwards so could have house to myself for a couple of weeks. Actually thinking about it that could be a good choice and quite an mse one. Could have a nice stop over on way home:)
Thanks for getting me thinking harder. Need some travel brochures as not an easy thing to choose online.

Indeed nor repeatedly to coin a phrase used. As one of my posts have been removed I assume I'm the guilty party
No intention to rule break just wanting to share.0 -

Sour cream and chives all the way for me. I like licking them before I actually eat them(both sides)
