Happy Christmas to all the elite. Loved reading all the reduced turkey hunters' posts. Well, it's official, I have had the worst whoopsie christmas eve hunt on record! Quite relieved really as have no room in freezer! Visited waities, 2 tesco and asda but reductions very poor and little selection. Still have done very well out of tesco over the last couple of weeks so not complaining. No wombles as usual even though I tried. Did manage to get two large balls (one Thomas Tank and the other Hello Kitty) with 75pc off in tesco for 87p each. Please carry on posting all your news - I do not want to watch James Bond and the chocolates are calling me! I am a little worried as I have taken things out of the freezer for tomorrow's dinner and have several gaps which is unknown for me.0

thankyou for all your Christmas wishes and being so appreciative of the work I do. I know I sometimes might seem a bit terse when I post but, as scamps has rightly identified, I do have a lot of others to deal with as well so it's not intentional, just sometimes I'm short of time
for someone who's just "a volunteer" I seem to need to spend my life on this forum  :rotfl:
Thanks rf for all your hard work, as Scamps rightly said 'keeping the thread alive'. Have a fantastic Christmas."We have to be kind because everyone is fighting a great, great battle" - Sir Richard Attenborough

Sorry TM, they are all packed up in a hamper of home made goodies I have made for someone.
Wish I had known there was a bond film on, although I have not had time with cooking and baking.
Think its time I popped down to the pub for an hour, just to be sociable dont you know

Merry Christmas to Elite people! :xmassign: Here's to another year of fabulous glitching!
I had an unexpected present from Dr O today as my giftcard from them turned out to have £20 on it instead of £10 it was supposed to - woohoo :xmassmile0 -
Reading back over the various turkey hunts that have gone on this afternoon, I'm feeling extraordinarily lucky (/smug). By a string of circumstances, I happened to have half an hour to kill in T's car park at 2.30 this afternoon, so I thought I'd wander in and check out the turkey situation. Hit the fridge just as they were getting their third reductions and before anyone else had noticed, so I chose a £53.xx goose reduced to £10.xx and a £30.xx turkey reduced to £6.xx.
Hadn't picked up a trolley on my way in, so found myself walking round the store with a bird under each arm!
I'll gloss over the facts that I don't eat meat and that we're being cooked for tomorrow. Oh, and that the freezer was full (I deemed those prices to be worth plugging in one of the spares). That's DH eating turkey and goose for a good chunk of the first quarter of 2015!0 -
