It is not a question as Kwikbreaks suggests of a lack of technical knowledge.
    Apologies.

I had taken thinking watching stuff on iPlayer would use less bandwidth than browsing and not knowing the difference between WiFi and 4G suggested that was the case. I clearly jumped to the wrong conclusion.

I did write that initially and then I sent you a link(or explanation) confirming that the Motherboard didn't support it.
Checked my messages and indeed you did - sorry.

I have latched onto the wealth of experience here which is why I was enthused about Osprey in the first place. Never mind, what's done is done. I will see how it goes and keep focused on this forum.

    Cheers

Go directly to the EE website here and order the modem and bundle online....and take the KnowHow package back for a refund.

Many thanks to you both for your replies.]

The Osprey deal sounds like a good one: Vodaphone quoted me 3GB this morning for a monthly dongle @ £16. I would just go into an Orange shop to arrange it, wouldn't I?

On their site they mention a standard credit check. I don't suppose you know what that means? Them contacting Experian or one of those companies?

    Thanks again.

Sorry - this doesn't answer your question other than to say it took ages for them to do credit check - more than the 10 days they said during online sales chat- just something to be aware of.
I took the deal - the online service was appalling - taking ages re credit checks so I finally went to a Vodaphone shop - the staff were excellent. Due to the bad service and delays they offered me a mobile mini router which is better than a dongle for my laptop. I have after a month requested to upgrade to £26 - perhaps realising I needed more as not always convenient to use a free wifi spot. videophone website not very user-friendly - which the staff in shop agreed with.

That's a terrible deal. Let's hope that you took it only on a 1 Month rolling contract. Because if it's on a 12 month contract, the router is free anyway and that includes their 4G router. Not only that, but the £26 per month fee is now £19.50 per month. What were you thinking?
