Reformed Stamp Duty - Excel Calc?

Hi all,

I appreciate this isn't an IT / Excel forum however I'm not fond of registering to a new forum to ask one question - and I'm sure someone here has the knowledge!

Given MSE's main article regarding stamp duty is absolutely correct; the link sent me to the post dated back in 2013.

Regardless. I used to use a 'calculator' on Excel in which I had specified % rates assigned to each rate. So if cell = £245,000, the figure displayed from a LOOKUP formula would be 245000*0.01 equating to £2,450.

With the new incremental tax, just wondering if anyone had the knowhow or resource to calculate 2% of the first £125,000 (125-250), 5% of the next £675k and so on..

Using the magnificent:rotfl:Excel 2003.

Thanks!
