Heart-shaped Christmas Help

It doesn't always have to be cynical and about what 'they can get.' My LO asked FC for a ball of wool and a book. I didn't discuss this with her, it is genuinely all she wanted. There are children in her class asking for ipads/electronic games etc- and getting them, so I was super proud that was all she wanted.
Christmas is what you make it- if you allow it to become a cynical buying exercise, it will.0 -
She does have a stethoscope already (a toy one - it beeps when pressed against anything) but that hasn't convinced her she has a heart.
That's because she's clever enough to know that it's not a real one.:)
We had one like this -

and the kids could listen to their hearts when they were resting and after running around and hear the difference so they knew they were hearing something real.0 -
These heart-shaped decorations are really easy and look really effective http://strumpetscrumpets.blogspot.be/2012/01/valentine-paper-heart-chain-diy.html
You can do them in long garlands or make shorter panels to hang in front of a window etc0 -
If you pm me your address and your daughters name, I will post you out a little wooden sparkly heart with her name on it.
I am making some tonight for a craft fair tomorrow so it wont be any trouble.

Loved the stethoscope idea. You can get them really cheaply on eBay:

I can't imagine they're particularly good (and bet they're not used in hospitals), but for a few quid you could get it and try it out yourself beforehand, and give it to her if it works.
And this book to go with it?

Fab n Funky mum - that is very thoughtful of you - I have pm'ed you.
The body book looks good - she is very interested in her inner workings at the moment.
I did try "not on the high street" for ideas - but they were all a bit adult oriented. Some kiddy heart shaped choccies are the next thing to find.We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.0 -
