  • Like the majority of us you did not read the full t&c where it tells tou they can forward your details to whomever they want.

Change your number is the best option.

Who sold my details at the first place? Without my consent...
What happened to the data protection law? Doesn't apply?
    Thank you :)
Anyone connected could have done this (the data protection law doesn't stop backhanders to rogue policemen/ambulance drivers/highway traffic officers/breakdown operators/bodyshops/insurance staff/a & e staff/etc etc)

    DPA Law is a joke.
Sad to hear the end result.

I would change my insurance company.

I wind up the callers instead.

I told one that there was a big accident, bits everywhere and my daughter in tears. When they press for the registration plate, I answer that Lego doesn't have one ;)

I envy some of my friends who are Eastern European and have very a very good sense of humour. When they receive these types of calls and realise it's a cold call they speak in their own language interspersed with some broken English. The caller always hangs up and their name is normally removed from the database.

Take them up on their offer... see if they can get any money from the foreign insurance company. Might at least cover some of your losses.
