Juts had a similar letter demanding over £560 pounds for a contract that I paid off 4 months early with EE. They said its for loss of comission.
However spoke to solicitor as they said its in the T&C's however the T&C however cleverly worded shows they are sending you a copy of the mobile networks T&C's.
Solicitor advised they need to prove your are in effect in 2 contracts one with network and one with them, also that they have sent you a copy of their contract and not EE's.
Sent them a reply, solicitor also advised worse case go to court and pay but he doubts it would ever go to that as your are not bound by any contract with them. Especially when they say its for loss of commision. Happy to go to court just on principle and pay on the day as no judgement will be registered againt me.

By coincidence I was only thinking about this today. I was thinking I should have called their bluff and let it go to collections and see what happened but I made an offer for less and it was accepted. Annoyingly though my daughter recently took out a new contract with them. Grrr0

Of course they will settle - for the outlay of sending a letter - you've agreed to pay them the value of a mobile phone :rotfl:This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
