The operators themselves consider these types as snapshots as evidence of poor coverage when giving line-rental recompense.

Like with anything digital these days, it is possible to fake but you'd have to be an idiot to risk lying in court for a few hundred pounds, when I'm sure it's quite easy to spot a fake.

UPDATE:

After filing an acknowledgment of my court claim the network offered a pre-court settlement that I was happy with.

Despite the front line customer service agents admitting that I suffered poor network coverage in my area, the Directors Office/Legal team refused in my settlement letter to acknowledge the poor coverage. Instead, the phrasing of the letter made it seem that settlement for them was a commercial decision weighing costs vs benefits of going to court over relatively small amounts of money.
