water reading submission

Options
Hi,

I received an estimated bill from Thames Water today. It was too high so I submitted a reading online. After making the reading on the Thames Water website, the last page it says

Thank you for giving us your latest meter reading. If this reading means your metered charges need to be updated, we’ll send you a revised bill within the next six working days. Please allow a further three to five days to receive it.

But in the email acknowledgement it says:

Please be aware, if you have received a bill from us in the last 15 days, any reading you provide us now may not produce a new bill.

If I don't get a new bill from this process that would mean it reverts to the old bill and since it is dated 1 December, how long would I have to pay this?

Thanks
