Another NSD for me yesterday. Was really well behaved. I got a book out from the library that I had wanted to buy, so saving me the pennies there. I managed to do some revision and I have booked a days holiday on Tuesday saving me some diesel. Tomorrow will be a spendy day as I need more food than I thought but the last lot lasted me 2 weeks, so maybe it will again. YNAB tells me I have just short of £30 for food so this should be do able.Car Paid in full - 10/06/2016 :j0

Well today I made a shopping budget and stuck to it and even better, came under budget and have enough cat food to keep my cat fed till payday! My budget was £27.87 which is less than usual and I managed to come in at £23.04. I have rechecked my finances and can do £30 total for my friends birthday and part of the shopping I purchased some alcohol for the party, so I have £15 for the party, which is more than enough and £15 for the meal which is loads as well. So any left over from the meal will go towards my current amount for groceries next week and it will be payday on the day of the party, so I any left over there will go towards next months budget.
I love YNAB. I don't spend a penny without checking the budget on there and moving money from pot to pot depending on what's needed where. I will be happy when I can incorporate a clothing budget to it as my clothes are getting too small, but at the moment with other bills this is a pipe dream. This week has been a cheap week.
Sunday - NSD
Monday - NSD
Tuesday - I filled my car with £20 of fuel - all in the budget.
Wednesday - I spent £2.76 from the shopping budget on some food for lunches and a notebook for my studies. I didn't go to drama either due to stresses and needing a rest so saved myself £2.50.
Today - another NSD
Doing quite well with these.
I was sent £100 from my mum the other day which along with my own money brought my CC down to a straight £600. She will be giving me £200 at some point which will make it £400.

Hey, well done! You're doing so well already.
How are you getting with YNAB?0 -
Killer - I love it! I am in to the last week and I have £40 left over. Due to it I have managed to budget for a friends birthday that I didn't think I would be able to attend. I have money for the party, so don't need to worry about taxis etc. I have emergency diesel money and I have money left for food tomorrow. I am thinking about what every penny is going to do for me, and like this week when I didn't go to drama and saved my £2.50, I didn't rush out and spend it on rubbish, it is in my pot, for the next time I go!
I've only had a part month on it so far, so June will be the full test, but I have more money put aside, so we should be ok!

What a lovely morning. I have just been sent the final £200 from my mum so my credit card balance has been wiped from £867.35 at the start of May, to a current balance of £400!! Over half has been cleared! It was with a lot of help from mum and I am soooo grateful for the money. I feel like I have turned a corner.
Today will be a spend day but a cheap spend - £2.50 for Drama which is budgeted for and £2.50 max in Tesco (I have a voucher) for cat litter. Can't wait until payday to buy it as it is needed now! xCar Paid in full - 10/06/2016 :j0 -

I got target last week! I then gain 0.5lb, but I can cope with that. Its been mainly because I barely have any food left, no healthy stuff and only the syns which I hid away, but tomorrow is payday and I have budgeted a bigger allowance for food and it will involve a freezer shop so I will get loads of frozen veggies in and then hopefully the extra weight will come back off.
My mum is amazing. She helps me out so much. She has given me the money, because she says she is investing in my future as it has gone on the course and she wants to help me, like she is helping my sister (who is pregnant). I haven't had anymore than my sister has had, so we are both equal.
If it was still a week until payday, she would have helped by buying food. She says, they would rather help me, than see me struggling to the point of having to give up my home as she doesn't want me to move back home to her! Its funny, but I don't want to got there either and now she has paid this chunk off, I wont have to sell my home.
