  • Hi

I tried surveys but I don't get invited to many - mainly because I am a single person.

Still not heard about the job but it is still rather soon.

£20 spent today :( on fuel but my tank was running on fumes....

1 pound lost when I went to the doctors this morning, but just put that back on by eating a Krispy Kreme Chocolate Dreamcake. Now off to go slumber at my desk

    Hi all!

Cant believe it is the New Year! Got the shakes but I think it is more to do with a hangover rather than anything else.

Just checked my banking (which gives me the chills anyway) and sort of freaked! I have spent more money that I thought I had over the last week. I went shopping at the Trafford Centre the other day for a New Years Eve dress and ended up coming home with 2. I also spent money in Selfridges and Debenhams as the MAC store came calling.

I have just made a £100 payment to my credit card because if I leave the money in my account I know I will fritter it away. This way it is paid.

I had also had to make the payment because I was starting to get uncomfortable with the amount the card was at. I have also made my payment today for my mortgage - paid to my dad which means that that is sorted as well.

I will be using this diary I think now everyday as I have a tiny budget of £50 for the month which will need to pay for food. Luckily my cupboards are full and the only things I will need to pay for is fresh food so this is do-able. I usually have £60 so I'm not too bad this month. I will have to have quite a few nights at home for the next month.

I have saved a chunk for a trip to Blackpool at the end of the month - this is why I can't pay too much off the card. I may cut my budget for this trip down and try to do it on a tiny amount but for 2 nights away it will be difficult as I haven't paid my accommodation yet. It would be easier if I didn't go but its my friends 30th and I don't think I will get out of going unless I got sick.

So be aware that this diary will be refreshed daily! I am aiming for NSD on all days this month except for Tuesdays as I am at SW and Saturdays as this is petrol and food day. I will limit all spending to these days only. If I need food in the week, I will wait until Saturdays and go with a list. This first Saturday will be a NSD as well as my fuel is ok for now and I went food shopping the other day so my fridge is also full.

I am also going to be doing the SW EESP plan for 2 weeks this month which means that I will not eat potatoes, rice or pasta in these weeks so these will last even longer! I am going to try this plan mainly because I think i have an intolerance to pasta and bread so I am aiming to find out if by cutting it out for a week will do my tummy a favour.

Oh well its now time to go and start my first day of my resolutions diary.

    Till tomorrow....

Well I'm on plan so far. Today has been a NSD which was amazing. I was soo good :) I wrote a food diary last night and I have stayed 90% on track with it. I have also been to the library to return a book that I had out and in the last 24hrs I started and finished another book which is due back which I couldn't renew. It was a book that at any other time I would have said sod it - returned it unread and gone out and bought it, but not this time. I decided to be productive and make use of having it for free. It will be returned tomorrow/ Monday and I can cross it off my list.

Maybe next time I will stay as productive xx

    Hi all.
Todays been a not so great day. My neighbours is having an argument with how I think is her brother - its been going on all day and I have been sat here listening to it - I have a bit of a headache now due to it. Im more annoyed because as its all i've heard all day - I cracked and ate 2 large items of chocolate so the diet has been 50% good and 50% bad.

Im annoyed as also there was a dress I bought on the 29th which is now in the sale at £10 off. It will cost me more in diesel to return and re-purchase which I couldn't do anyway as it was a small shop and they would know what I was doing. Grrrr. Maybe next time i'll have to hold out on buying it and hope that it is still in stock once the sales hit. If i'd just waited..... Big Lesson Learnt.

I cant say i've had a NSD but for 80p I don't think it was too bad - got a paper as there was a SW menu book in it and i'm sharing it with my mum. Tomorrow will be the same and Monday and Tuesday but its a little spend for a big benefit in the long run.

Oh well off to go pig out on some more food - my tea xx

    Hi all

Its been a few days since I posted. Not much has happened. I have spent £1.20 on Sunday and 55p on Monday and Tuesday for the other magazines from SW out of the paper so I have the full collection. I could have gotten Monday and Tuesdays for free off my colleague but I paid anyway and we have 2 off each of these days so as I'm sharing with my mum, I can have 2 copies fully to myself.

I'm back at work now :( but while I was at home yesterday evening, I signed up for a £12.99 student discount card which will be good use and will last 1 year. I also signed up for my AAT membership which will last me a year, but my parents are paying for this.

I have has severe insomnia this last week which is not good and so unlike me. Last night it was 2 am before I felt sleepy enough to go to bed. Struggled to get up this morning but i'm not surprised about that.

I also during my wide awakenness on Saturday ordered my fancy dress costume for the Blackpool trip but managed to get a outfit for £12.99 plus postage which was great considering most were £20+ before postage.

I also paid off my accommodation for the trip so all I am taking is spending money and a bit to help with petrol/parking.

    :)

    Hi all

I'm a bit depressed today. Still not sleeping - well only in the mornings and when I do get to sleep I awake 3 or 4 times in the night for the loo or if there is a noise. This morning I was awoke at 4 am because the cat was crying - shes crying because a) I was asleep on my side - not my back so she couldn't get on my knee and b) because she is hungry, but she wont eat what I put down for her. She ate yesterday because she must have been hungry but she threw up almost instantly afterwards. I don't know why she has gone off the food - its premium and she loved it last time I got it for her. Looks like I will have to try another brand again.

Another thing is I didn't get the job I applied for. I'm starting to really hate my job - the only good thing is I can do the work and they leave me alone 99% of the time. However I want routine. I like to be able to come in and know what I am doing instead of finding things have gone wrong and I have to do something else or like this morning - i had to travel to a supplier who I went to on Tuesday! They don't plan anything correctly. I have to visit suppliers 3/4 times each week for the same stuff because either they forgot something or didn't check or they didn't ask for enough. I've had it which is why I wanted out.

Today has been a NSD. :) I spent £21 yesterday on fuel for my car and a loaf of bread. Tuesday I had SW so that was £4.95 as well.

Oh well back to the grind :( x

This quote about reminds me of the Finding Nemo quote "Just keep swimming" Which is exactly what I intend to do about this blip in my life.

I am grateful for what I do have:
    1) I have a lovely flat - (albeit the neighbours suck) which is decorated how I like it and enjoy coming home to it everyday.
    2) I have the best landlords (my parents) anything goes wrong, they come to sort it out.
    3) I have a full time job which pays the bills and gives me a little left at the end of each month (the amount I'm left with is down to me, not the job)
    4) I have good friends - they are there when I need them and they leave me alone when I need them too. I am an introvert so I thrive on alone time
    5) I have a beautiful cat - she loves my lap and she has finally started to eat normally again - he has a funny patch on her back but because I'm letting her treat it herself she isn't depressed anymore.
    6) I am sleeping again - after a christmas of getting out of my routine - this is fab news
    7) I am eating well - not as great as I can be but I can tell changes are being made - I don't rush to the toilet half as much as I used to with pains.
    8) My healthy is great - I got the all-clear from the hospital on the 30/12 which is amazing news - My endometriosis after 10 or so years is finally behaving itself and I can manage it well.
    9) My mum is my best friend - I can tell her whatever is bothering me and she knows what to do about it. I do rely on her way too much but she understands this and she will push me away gently when she feels I need to stand alone which is great.
and finally 10) I am no longer bored - I have a course to complete which I am enjoying. I just wish I could do it at work when I am bored!

So I will in effect "just keep swimming" I will stop letting the little things that were not meant to be dragging me down for days, I will brush them off, say this wasn't the plan for me and move on to the next thing.

On other good news, I have had 2 NSD in a row - Thursday and Friday but unfortunately because it is Saturday, I need food so it will be a spendy day today. Hopefully not too much damage.

    Hi all,

Me again. Not doing tooo great at the moment. My mind is fine but my finances are a bag of pants! I am currently at my highest credit card amount ever of £1116.61. I admitted it to my mum yesterday but I told her truthfully that I have quite a bit to pay off it next month.

    I have the following:
£9 minimum payment due out on Friday
£20 sitting in a piggy bank to pay off
£126 from my dad to pay off
£100 from my wages to pay off
£4 refund due to be put on this card
    £10 minimum payment next month
So a grand total of £269 being paid of the card between now and end of February payday :)

This should leave me in a months time with the card sitting at £847.61 should everything go to plan. That is a little less sickening.

I am going to also stay home alot more in Feb as I have exams soon and I need to do some serious revision. I have done an hour tonight before I made my way on to here :)

I think an hour an night is do-able in my current situation.

My exams are going to cost me about £160 for 2 of the exams so the more I can squirrel off the cards the better.

Anyways, off to go and do some squirreling in my flat and find some items to stick on the Bay.

    xx
