I contacted the landowners to find out who was responsible for contracting armtrac but they say the terms of agreement state that they are not allowed to get involved in any individual cases.

So you gave up at the first hurdle and didn't actually write a complaint? Yet places like the Falmouth Maritime Museum do cancel these:

Apart from writing a complaint letter to whoever was the landowner/attraction in your case, and not giving up when fobbed off, just ignore Armtrac unless they try a small claim over it - in which case it's defendable and beatable. No sweat over some letters - they are no biggie!!
