Letter from Armtrac Threatening Action

I have just had a letter from ArmTrac security service a private ticketing company.
Earlier in the year I had a parking ticket which I dealt with using the letter provided by this site to avoid unfair charges. This was emailed to them and ignored.
Unfortunately, I cannot find this email.
This letter I have received from them claims to be the second letter they have sent to me, but it is in fact the first.
The letter states:
"We regret to find that the above parking charge notice remains unpaid, and as we have had no contact/payment from yourself regarding the notice, this charge stands at £100.00 as stated on the Parking Charge Notice (PCN).
Our digital photographic evidence of the incident has been carefully scrutinised and confirms all the issues beyond reasonable doubt.
Despite out previous letter, you have chosen not to make payment and consequently the matter remains unresolved. Therefore it has now progressed to a further stage and your file will be passed into the hands of our legal department. Please be advised that the purpose of this letter is to inform you that unless we receive payment in full within the next 14 days the matter will be referred to Debt Recovery Agents or the County Court to commence legal proceedings against you for recovery of the outstanding debt. Please be aware that the 28 day period for appealing to POPLA has now expired."
The letter then lists several costs and finishes with;
"Please note that the above statutory charges do not include our own costs which may also be chargeable in the event of you losing the court claim.
Under the circumstances the appeals process is now considered complete and unsuccessful therefore I look forward to receiving your payment for £100.00 by return. Please ring the above telephone number, mon - fri 9.00am - 5.00pm. or alternatively pay at payarmtrac.co.uk"
This letter was addressed to my mother and sent to her address as it was her car. But it was me driving the car at the time of the ticket.
I emailed them as soon as I received the fine with this websites recommended email. They are now claiming to have not received anything and that they have already sent me one letter, which they have not.
However, I cannot find the email I sent, nor can I find the parking ticket.
Please advise on what I should do as they are simply lying and becoming harassing. I don't want them bothering my mother either since it is my responsibility.

I've read some bollox from PPCs before but this is a pearler.0 -
It is not a fine!
Have you checked your email deleted folder?
Did you appeal as keeper or driver? If the former you can email them again outing yourself as the driver and reset the clock to start the appeals process from scratch.I married my cousin. They do have photos and I am able to see them on their website.
I know I'll sound stupid but I've read the newbies section and don't really understand what stage in the process I am at or what I should do.
Could anyone tell me in simpleton terms please?0 -

Otherwise, ignore Armtrac or if you want to receive the silly letters yourself, write a letter IN YOUR MUM'S NAME stating that the driver was {you at your address} and as such that discharges her potential liability under the POFA 2012. If they write back to her disagreeing, and still bothering her, then complain to the BPA.
Post #6 of the Newbies thread has the BPA email address for the complaint.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

There is nothing in my email unfortunately.
This incident occurred in July and they have only now sent me a letter. Is there a time frame they are supposed to keep within for following up unpaid tickets?0 -
No, any debt can be chased for six years, it's nothing to do with whether it was a fake PCN or not. That's the time period in the UK whereby a 'debt' can be pursued.
Anyway you know what to do now as I have explained above. Then YOU can ignore all the letters once they start sending them to you. This is no biggie, Armtrac have been ignored for years and years on here!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

They can have as many photos as they like. They prove nothing. You're starting this thinking you're guilty of something. You're not. The fact is that Armtrac are trying to scam you through your ignorance of the law. It's nothing new. PPCs make a lot of money from it. The majority of posters on this board have been there as well. This is where you start to learn the process and you'll pay nothing if you believe and follow the advice here. Then you can inform friends and family. It's how the scammers will finally be beaten.0 -
I think I read this a minute ago but I can't find it again on this forum so maybe someone could confirm or deny this:
Should I contact the landowner requesting they call off Armtrac, who they have employed, because they are harassing me with no real case?0 -
Pay the scum some monopoly money, and slip them a tip for xmas :rotfl: :money:PPCs say its carpark management, BPA say its raising standards..... we all know its just about raking in the revenue. :eek:0
