What?? Wait for christmas to start shopping?? Don't you know how much extra that costs? Tsk tsk ;)
Depends what you buy! I always do a big booze shop just before Christmas - I rarely buy spirits at any other time of year. For example it's the only time when all the major supermarkets sell litre bottles of Baileys for under £10...

Other than obvious moneysaving hints like buying next year's cards/crackers/candles/wrapping paper etc. in this year's post-Christmas clearance sales, I've found it makes more sense on most counts to shop in the pre-Christmas rush.

Obviously if I find something earlier in the year that would be an ideal Christmas present for someone, and the price is right, I'll buy it then.

(Hey cool, I've just turned into a 2 star moneysaver!)

Maybe a better idea would be to have a 'celebrations' index - including birthdays, easter, Halloween, mothers day and just general party ideas - I am sure many of the ideas would cross over well....

:T I know many of us keep "Gift Cupboards" and make our own stuff all year round so a HM Gifts title would be most welcome - after all, my "Belly Button Blow-Dryer" is for life, not just Christmas! ;)

Good grief let me get my breath back after doing the Slow Cooker Recipes. :p:):D

    Then I'll look at a

Home Made Gifts and Celebrations Index.

    Promise.

Because that's the one everyone seems to want indexing by individual "idea posts" and "tip posts" - with the addition of Birthday, Easter and other Celebration events.

    :)
