Vodafone - no service, what can I do please?
Options
i am moving to Suffolk in the near future, my daughter and son-in-law are there already and his phone, like mine is Vodafone pay monthly.
He has found there is no signal either inside or out of the house which is in a very small village. What can I do? Do I have any rights if Vodafone are not providing me with the service I am paying for? My contract doesn't run out until May next year!
Many thanks for reading

Networks don't guarantee signals in al area's so as it's your choice to move to an area with no coverage it's no their fault.
You could use a suresignal box if you have broadband where you are moving to

We're moving to our daughter's because of husband's disabilities so not out of choice:(. Thanks for the link, it may be that son-in-law's company would pay for this as it's his work phone won't work. Some people hear voices, some see invisible people. Others have no imagination whatsoever

I don't mean to be harsh but even with this reason, it IS by choice.
You can try appealing to VFs better nature but I wouldn't hold your breath.
No provider will guarantee 100% coverage, this will be included in your Contract T&Cs.
Other options include requesting the box as mentioned above. Or seeing if you can down grade your tariff and sell the handset and out the £££ towards buying out the contract.0 -
If your phone is unlocked grab a few PAYG sims and check out alternative network coverage .0

Great idea JJ Egan. Luckily my daughter is with Orange and has no problem. I've looked at reviews for the Sure Signal and whilst some are five star some are just one. I have a cheapish contract so it might be best just to let it go and move to Orange as well. Some people hear voices, some see invisible people. Others have no imagination whatsoever
