They clearly have the passengers well-being in mind! :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:Flybe has told passengers that only items bought on board may be eaten during flights, claiming the food restriction has been introduced to protect passengers with food allergies.
I'm allergic to BS...........:p0 -
Not transferable - have to be used by the person named on them.Nordictat2 wrote: »Should have sold them on eBay and enjoyed the cash hehe:D
Can't be used against "online only" fares.
Therefore a complete waste of time as BA's offline fares are at least £30 higher than their online fares.0 -

I'd love to see them tell you none of your own food if you're diabetic! I know several diabetics who keep a stash of emergency munchies on them.
Alternatively you could try taking only things that they sell on board...then surely there's no *safety* issue!!
Guess that's another toblerone for me then...

Hi I do know it takes more then an hour to cater a whole aircraft, why were you delayed were you waiting for an air traffic slot, if so did it come forward , so the food that could have been arranged would have gone to waste - i know if you had asked the passengers on the plane, you can have better food but be delayed further - majority would have said leave it. Sorry to stick with the rest of the posters but BA is a good airline, they will not rubbish their reputation for the sake of sandwiches - maybe they looked at the bigger picture. xharrysmum03 wrote: »Can i just point out i'm not one for complaining. all i was asking for was a bit of advice.
i would have fed my children in the airport (i'm not completely stupid nor an awful mother who was expecting ba to feed them. i had over £800 quid in the bank) but i couldn't get any cash from the machine as it there wasn't one in departures! i would have had to go back through security to get cash then have to que up again at security.
had the airline given out the vouchers when they were supposed to there wouldn't have been a problem. also, so they didn't have to give out the vouchers they made sure everyone was on the plane by the 3rd hour even though we sat on it for an hour before we even moved. thats what really p'd me off.
The steward also told me that they didn't re plenish the catering as it would have delayed us even more. (we were sat on the tarmac for an hour how long does it take?) i would have gladly gone and got it myself.....YOU LEARN SOMETHING NEW EVERY DAY

I travel with children and normally take a packet of plain biscuits such as HobNobs in my handbag. They're no substitute for a meal, but good to keep the munchies away if meals are not served at the times we are used to!Here I go again on my own....0

My daughter flew from Gatwick to Dallas with her 16 month old son. She hadn't paid for a seat for him but she still had to pay approx £75 for him. When the meals came round there was none for him!! as she hadn't paid for his seat. Obviously she gave him hers and she was prepared with snacks. She doesn't expect a freebie but come on £75 for admin charges. The staff checked and said there was no food left for him. On the way home it was totally different with staff being helpful and friendly. It was a night flight and they offered her a quiter area of the plane so he could sleep. Obviously he didn't until touchdown but hey she's young and coped. The attitude of the staff made all the differance as she was concerned that he would disturb others. Before you say it she is responsible and was well equipped to keep him amused and happy.Nothing Changes if Nothing Changes0

She, or her travel agent would have needed to have booked an infant meal for there to be one on board. £75 was not for admin chanrges. IATA state that infants must pay 10% of the adult fare plus tax. Bear in mind that infants also pay less tax than adults.0 -
Can't help thinking that if people don't complain about poor service then nothing ever gets better. The OP might not have been expecting to get compensation, but surely raising the issue with BA alerts them to a deficiency in the their service.
Don't quite understand why it was necessary to berate the OP so much in this thread0
