Nissan Juke equivalents?
A bit of advice please. Looking to get a fairly new (1-2 yr old) car and unsure of what makes to look at. Am looking for Nissan Juke size/style, with good road clearance, good mpg and not too big. What other models are there I should consider?
Thanks.
Thanks.

My mother in law has a Juke 1.6 and its dreadful on fuel. Nice to drive and all seem to have good spec.
1.5 diesel is probably best of a bad bunch, unless you go for the 180+ bhp 1.6turbo.
Fiat 500L is similar size.
Rav4?
ix20?0 -
If you want it to be good on fuel then the Juke is not for you. Buy the Micra instead.
Why do you need a small hatchback on stilts?
Probably under 35mpg on the petrol and not the 50mpg the figures suggest.
Similar with the diesel, Your probably going to get 20mpg less than the figures suggest.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Ive had a diesel renault captur for a month.
I have gone from Manchester to northampton to leicester and back to manchester (250 miles roughly) cost me about£20-25 in fuel.
I cant believe how economical it is. It does more mpg than my 1ltr corsa.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Suzuki SX4?
Available new for £10495 and seems well put together.

My MIL gets late 20's from her 1.6 petrol.
I used to get 28.6 from an Audi A6 4.2 we had as a pool car at work a few years ago.0 -
We got a Juke 8 months ago, ex demo automatic as my DW loved her friends. Really like the car, good on rough roads, probably due to 17inch wheels, but find the interior design has problems, no storage for things like sunglasses etc, plus the sat nav is a bit hit and miss, the Mazda one is better.
MPG, well we get a disappointing 34.3 on average, does include occasional towing and this is a very smooth proper automatic.0 -
Thanks for all the replies. Just had a look at Honest John for mileage figs  - somehow I must have been looking at the diesel I think! Also, should have said we'll need an automatic so that will lower the mileage. We need one with good clearance as some roads we're going on are quite bumpy - not 4WD territory but there are things sticking up.
I had a Captur as a courtesy car a few months back and found it very uneconomical. No automatic. Looks nice though!
The Fiat 500L I hadn't considered - didn't realise it was quite so big (or maybe that the Juke is quite so small). I've had a few Fiat's and they've been great but just checked and no automatic
Rav4 is nice but 2l only giving 26mpg .
Mokka looks a possibility - and diesel + 50 to gallon on automatic :T.
ix20 doesn't look very high off ground.
The Suzuki looks good and good mpg also :T.
So, SX4 and Mokka to explore further so far.
