Barclays on line banking

Anybody else suffer from this site going slow or not being able to open it at all.:mad:
This happens to me quite often which is very bad for a big bank.

I am unable to open to access it just now to check my bank account luckily not to pay a bill.But why offer these services if they cannot deliver?

I've noticed that it seems to happen most Friday mornings, I wonder if they do some kind of work on it at that time?

I've just logged on about 10 mins ago and it seems to be working fine now.

Fine for me. They do updates though which sometimes makes you unable to access it at certain times. Also, for it being a big bank, imagine how many people are also trying to access it at the same time as you.
Barclays site says - To get Online Banking at its speediest, avoid logging in at peak times. Generally, these are 9am-11am and around lunchtime Monday to Friday.

Banks are always busier on Fridays be they online or in the High Street. Not worth getting upset about IMO.

Yes, something seems to have gone wrong with their setup as I'm either timed out, or have to wait 1-2 minutes for each page to load. Definitely a problem with Barclays as I can assure everyone it's not my internet connection (just trust me).

I've found the site is much quicker in the afternoons, and very zippy in the evenings. Best avoided before midday - maybe that's when there are the highest demands on the site.

Ive found it very very slow over the last week - except for when you press the 'next' or 'enter' button again when you cant remember whether you already pressed it - then it soon brings up the logged out message!

I agree. I could log on yesterday but couldn't move money between accounts as it just got stuck ... drove me up the wall! I have an esaver so I couldn't even go into the branch to do anything :mad:

I have just spent 45 mins on Barclays online site (Friday ) trying to send them an email and access my account. this really is a poor quality service.
