Being law abiding doesn't involve damaging someone's car out of a misguided idea of being" in the right"

Perhaps before you post a derogatory post you should actually read the post you are referring to. Where did I post any suggestion that someone should damage someone else's vehicle.

Hypothetically the poster wasn't talking about himself ;)
But remember " pavements are for pedestrians'.
Personally I don't condone damaging cars, but these threads always deteriorate into that suggestion.

If you don't want a thread to become about purposely damaging cars then don't be the one to start the issue by accusing another poster of criminal damage.

If the subject of damaging cars is predictably mentioned ...;)

To be honest it's hardly a huge, suggestive leap from one poster complaining about cars parked on pavements to another wondering why someone would as there is a high risk of damage from people squeezing past, it kinda goes with the flow.

Sometimes people park on pavements because their area was built pre- the motor car and not really wide enough . I have also seen the " I would accidentally on purpose scrape their car with my bag " comment. It's just silly really

Buying/renting a property that doesn't meet your needs is not an excuse to park on the pavement, however the people who do park on pavements clearly aren't concerned about other people so they are unlikely to forward plan.
