If you ask them they will probably refund your call charge anyway.
Last year I spent quite a bit of time in the US and when trying to purchase items in stores they would sometimes fail the transaction and someone from their security team would call me on my mobile.. international rates and all. This was even though I would tell them in advance I was going so as to pre-empt their over zealous fraud checks. This became quite irritating (and expensive in terms of call charges) so sent them a message of complaint and they credited me with £100 for the call cost and compensation for the time it took to go through their security questions.0 -
Looks as if First Direct have changed the default number in the app to the 03 456 one in their latest update.
