Morning everyone
Birthday wishes to those celebrating a birthday, hope you have a great day x
Hugs and get well wishes to those that want/need them.
Beautiful bright sunny start to the day, but very frosty and cold too. We knew it was going to be a chilly start to the day as the heating kept coming on in the night.
DH up and enjoying a cuppa, DS1 still in his pit, DS2 in the shower and I’m up, showered, dressed and had breakfast.
Dinner last night was southern fried chicken portions, vegetable rice and stir fried veg – DH not impressed with the stir fried veg but other than that was very much enjoyed by us all, finished off with ice creams.
Yesterday was reasonably productive, got to the bank and did the jobs in town very quickly, then went on to the SM and although it wasn’t horrendously busy, I’m still rather slow as I don’t know where everything is, but cost an absolute fortune although I did buy extras for DS1’s birthday this week and 2 x 1 litre bottles of spirits – 1 whisky and 1 gin – as it was on offer at £15 a bottle, also bought a large piece of beef that was on half price offer, that’s gone in the freezer, a large chocolate birthday cake and some extra drink etc so when you take all those bits off it does bring it down to somewhere more acceptable.
I did get the housework done but not any cooking/baking which I had hoped I would manage so will have to make more of an effort next week!
Today we’ll be going to see DH’s granddad and aunt – we’ll take their xmas prezzies and cards as I don’t think we’ll get back down that way before xmas.
Won’t be doing anything to energetic – will need to sit and write xmas cards and wrap prezzies at some point.
Have great Saturdays everyone x
Take care x
Keep safe and well x

When he saw the credit card charge on his statement he contacted them and they cancelled and refunded. I know this is a diffenrtm reason but it's always worth a go.

Thank you, I'lve told DH and he's going to email them straightway
Worth a go

Morning all, sun's up but its not very warm, so the heating is on for awhile.I have some ironing to do this morning then its feet up and some knitting and finish watching the last few recorded episodes of Downton. I record the whole series and watch it one after the other.
NSD for me as I got all I needed on Thursday and don't intend to go near any shops until just before Christmas ,and then it'll only be to buy the sausage meat for the rolls
Dinner tonight is a slice of steak and ale pie from the freezer ,some mash, veg and onion gravy with some fresh fruit for pud.
Lunch will be a small salad with some salami and garlic sausage and some of my grated parmesan on top I have wrapped the larger of the two pieces in greasproof paper and put it in the salad drawer of the fridge .I adore the stuff and will try to incorporate it into different meals as I go along One of my favourites is a nice jacket spud split open with half a tin of beans as filling and a good grating of it on top along with fresh ground black pepper .
I must check with the veg in my fridge as I think I may have some going a bit 'bendy' so HM soup may be on the cards to be made later.
Hope everyone has a great day and keeps wrapped up warm

Ever been thrown a huge curve ball that you are not sure how to get over it?
My op has been cancelled as Im not well enough atm - my one chance of getting pain free and such a disappointment. I have not stopped crying since yesterday - so hopeful. Just one thing after another this year - sorry - my thoughts go out to all those who have lost or whose family is ill. I must not feel sorry for myself xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Oh Molly, you are entitled to feel the way you do. I am so sorry your op has been cancelled.
I know life is very difficult at the moment, but you have to start taking care of yourself. Pain drags you down even more, without the cause of the problem in the first place.
I know you have had to take so much on recently, but enough is enough. If your illness becomes worse you are not going to be any good to anyone, and it really is time you started to think about yourself. Please, please look after yourself.
Much love

Oh no, Molly what a total and utter bummer.:( I know only too well how debilitating it is to be in constant pain, so I don't wonder you're crying. The disappointment must be devastating. (((HUGS))) hun.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

Need to go and buy a pressie from Boots, get some wrapping paper and cards and find my big address book (DDs tidied the house before estate agent came to view).
DH managed to eat a boiled egg and half a buttered muffin which is the most solid food he has had for weeks :j
He is now back upstairs with a hot water bottle as all the travel and excitement last weekend exhausted him.
Strange to just have three of us in the house this weekend so going to rummage in freezer for small joint to have with organic veg which need using up tomorrow.
Ordered a new handbag in online sale as the one I am using has a flapover top and not enough pockets for phone, keys etc. Bag arrived this morning and I am really pleased with it as it is big enough to carry all the bits and bobs and easy to open. Should have been £59 but only £29 in the sale.

Molly, I'm so sorry to read your news.
Welcome allie.
Camelot, I keep waking early & can't get back to sleep, I can't stay in bed once I'm awake.
Tru, thank you for the carol.
Well I've sorted the spare room out ready for the shelves & desk to be put in, I also have an ottoman that has been sat on the bottom of the stairs for 6 months so that can go up there too.
It seems there may be a very slim chance that we may be moving next year, I didn't find out until after I'd ordered the furniture, hey ho, too late to worry now.
I'm going to try & have a nap in a sec so I can go to bed later & therefore get up later. Then I need to finish the Santa outfit & after that some crochet.
Hugs HesterChin up, Titus out.0 -
Oh Molly, what a shame.
Beautiful day outside, although it was -3 when I left for work. Last night's 'do' wasn't too bad, we enjoyed ourselves and home by 11pm. I think DS13 and DH are getting things down from the loft today, mostly disco equipment for upcoming events, but probably the tree and decorations too. I hope they light the fire for when I get home. I made meatballs yesterday so we will have those with pasta for dinner, and plum crumble too.
Tomorrow is our Christmas market, I want to get some beef from one of the stallholders, so will pop down in the morning. Might make some stollen. Then we are off to Leeds on Monday to see Michael Buble, so looking forward to that.0 -
Molly
I just saw your post and am so sorry your operation was cancelled.
It must be such a disappointment. Is there a pain clinic you could be referred to in the meantime? Have any suggestions been made to lessen the pain?
Very gentle hug."This site is addictive!"
