That's great, thank you I will take a look. Just a question, would I put my last known address?? I assume that would give the most accurate info.

    Cheers

The registry trust won't link any addresses. So you'd be searching just to see if a CCJ was issued in your name at that specific address.

Usually that would be the last address supplied to the creditor, however if you moved and they'd traced you to a later UK address then they may have filed a claim at that address.

So sometimes people need to do more than one search.

By the sounds of it this debt is either already statute barred, or they already have a CCJ.

If it is statute barred then getting a copy of your credit file shouldn't be an issue, at least you can see what is on there and check that they haven't filed an inaccurate late default on it (which you could then tell them to correct).

If there is a CCJ already then you can arrange to repay it as you mention and at least have it marked as satisfied.

Btw the statute barred period runs from the date you last paid or acknowledged the debt in writing. Any telephone conversations you may have had don't count as a cause of action.

Okay great, thanks for the info.

So I will use the registry trust to find out if I have a CCJ - I read that it wasn't possible to register a CCJ against someone who resides in another country, so I hope there isn't one.
If that's clear I'll attempt to pull my credit, is that possible to do from abroad?
    Thanks again
