£3 Truprint photo 'mug' offer via MSE!

Are you sure they are on your monthly statement?
I never saw the item advertised until Wednesday when the MSE email went out. How have you managed to buy it, get the transactions posted to your account and have received the statement by today?
Sounds incredibly bad timing if it has genuinely happened.
As sure as I can be from having 4 credit cards & banking for 45 years! £3 £1 £1 and of course loads more other entries since my last statement.
The 3 payments are listed in the same way all other 'authorised' payments are. The costs are included in my Balance Total. I noticed the transactions appear on the 5/12 on my latest statement (on-line banking) & they have definitely been processed, no asterisks on Barclays statements as Denando has on his.
Barclays Amex transactions authorised but still pending appear separately but only as a lump sum figure "to appear on the a/c in the next few days". They aren't identifiable until they are fully processed & listed, so of course there could be the other 2x£1 charges Truprint have said they can see their end, & there could also be refunds of all this £1 rubbish as well (or not).
The mug was posted yesterday and arrived today, perhaps another speedy process you might question as being genuine!Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.0 -
I've just ordered one of the mugs and the email receipt I received definitely says £3. Paid via Paypal.0

So does mine, clear as day £3 nothing more & that's what I authorised. The additional charges appeared only on my bank statement, are you able to look at yours on-line?I've just ordered one of the mugs and the email receipt I received definitely says £3. I've just looked at my statement again today and both the £3 and the £1 have processed on to the completed transaction list. I've emailed Truprint so will be interested to see what their excuse is. Nice little earner if they get an extra pound from everyone who takes up the cheap mug offer.
I use them fairly regularly and have never had this issue before. Their products and service are usually good so I hope it all gets resolved as I won't be buying anything else from them (or Snapfish) if it isn't sorted.0 -
Storm in a teacup - they'll go in a couple of days.
As everyone has pointed out, they are used widely to verify the card.
They are not skimming off thousands of pounds from their customers so no need to get so stressed out over it!
I've got some tin hats for sale if you are interested OP?

Worth quite a bit to Truprint given that they ARE keeping this money, it still has not been returned to me! If this unauthorised charge isn't back in my a/c by the time I get in from work tomorrow, I'll be telling Barclaycard to TAKE it back. Nice profit for Truprint if people take your advice & do nothing. They've had a lot more than their "couple of days"Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.0 -
Hi guys, missed the e mail last week, is this still live and if so is there a Code?? Many thanks..0

Got mine on Wednesday. Pleased as Punch and only debitted £3!
i believe the offer is now over!"if the state cannot find within itself a place for those who peacefully refuse to worship at its temples, then it’s the state that’s become extreme".Revd Dr Giles Fraser on Radio 4 20170 -
Nice earner for Truprint/Snapfish. Sell the product via MSE offer, then load additional 2 x £1 charges onto my initial £3 cost. It HAS been charged to my card & has not been 'refunded'.
9 days & I'm still waiting for the refund of the unauthorised charges, email asking why go unanswered. Multiply by how many people this may be happening to & the cheap mugs won't be such a 'loss leader'. Won't be falling for this again.
£2, who cares frankly - it's the principle.Seen it all, done it all, can't remember most of it.0 -
Really pleased with my mug :-)
