How long are phones meant to last after claiming on insurance?

Options
Lost phone 6 months ago. Paid £100 excess and recieved a replacement through tsb/lifestyle group insurance. The replacement phone has now stopped being able to make/receive calls.

Have you checked it's not the sim card ?

Depending on where they sourced the phone from it may be blocked ?
It's not just about the money

Check your policy. If it doesn't say anything, I'd expect this to be at least 6 months.
If the policy keeps silence about this, they will do their best to pull a fast one and demand another £100.

I've since changed the account from a silver to a plus so lost the insurance benefit but I will check the t&cs to see if it says anything related to this situation.

IIRC, my insurance replacement had a note saying 90 days? The excess for damage, rather than loss, on mine is £50 - so if it 'became' damaged, it would be less for another one - check your own policy first though!
