Wren Kitchens

We've had a lot of problems with a new kitchen that we got from Wren
To summarise a bit:
- Worktop arrived damaged, and they asked us if we could 'hide' the damage by cutting deeper mitres where they join
- Floor cupboards too small so we lost a metre of storage space (500mm each side)
- Boiler cupboard wrong size - just will not go over the boiler mounted to the wall
- Corner wall cupboard door too big - they've asked if we can 'cut it down' bearing in mind it's a gloss finish
- Shelves in lower cupboards were loose because there are not enough holes for the shelf fixings - 2 fixing holes which were both at the back of the cupboard so we ended up drilling holes for another set
- Tall oven unit is unfinished at the sides, has no gloss on sides, finish is very poor and exposed to water from the sink there
I've emailed, phoned and now sent letters to head office and the branch we got them from
They still haven't resolved any of these problems, it's been around 6 weeks since we first told them about these problems
I did receive a letter from them stating that they would send us a new door (which will have to be cut down) and a new boiler cabinet - get this - as a 'good will gesture'
There is no way I'm cutting a door down to fit
They seem to be not that bothered about resolving these problems
Is there any way I can take this further? I'm running out of ideas apart from ripping it out and dumping it at their front door

Please tell me you haven't paid already.0
-
The most important questions at this point is how did you pay for the units and work and was the fitting carried out by Wren?0
-
Payment is on a monthly basis, but it looks like the agreement is with Barclays, not Wren
My Mum owns the property and I'm renting from her so I didn't have much to do with the finance of the kitchen
Work was carried out by a family member who is a kitchen and bathroom fitter0 -
jools182, Phone up Barclays Finance, 0800 152 2888 have your Application number long 16 digit number and speak to them they are really helpful. Ask them about Section 75 Customer Credit Act 1974. What you will need to do is inform Wren that you are doing so and then call them and they talk you through the process step by step. Search this site unfortunately we are not alone with Wren problems, mines been going on for 9 months0

Thanks ppegoraro
Is this to try and stop payments to Wren until things are sorted out?
The latest thing is they are trying to charge us for end panels that they are telling us we needed in the first place!0 -
My cupboards from Wren were missing shelves inside. They repeatedly tried to send us replacements, but each time they sent random pieces of the cupboard, such as the side panels. When they send out replacements for your cupboard door be prepared to get the wrong things!
We solved it in the end by going on Facebook and making a public complaint. The Facebook team arranged for the items to be delivered to them for checking before being sent to us, so we did in the end get the right piece.0 -
We had a kitchen from Wren. We had quite a few issues which our local store have sorted out for us. We didn't get all heavy on them. Just stated the obvious and that it wasn't as it should be and they sorted it out - albeit in their own time!0

Jools182, not sure about stopping payment, but they will raise the awareness to Wren to escalate the matter and they will continue until you are 100% satisfied.
I posted some photo's on Wren facebook page and some comments and they have removed them and now I can not comment on their page0 -
the person who had trouble getting a refund (I believe viet2468) should contact credit card company. Dont know if he is too late , but credit card companies will fight for you if it is a genuine dispute, and you can prove that you have tried to obtain refund first0
