Yes you can. In fact, Parmesan lasts for ages, but in the interests of not taking up a load of fridge space, I keep some grated in a box in the freezer, as Mr LW likes it on top of various meals. I just spoon out what's needed with a teaspoon, straight from the freezer.

Was it Athene or Minerva whose symbol was the owl?

Years ago I managed to find some "Christmas" cards which had original verses and meanings of things like "the holly and the ivy" and "mistletoe" etc. Much more in the spirit of Solstice or Saturnalia.

DD phoned me this afternoon from her new house where she and a friend have been doing some work. He has built a wardrobe, made a door for a cabinet, built a sofa and put lights in a wardrobe for her.

They are both going to see another friend this weekend so she should be home Sunday night. Glad I did a lot of baking and made steak pasties and mini quiches for them. Sounds as if they deserve it for all their hard work. Pleased things are taking shape for her but will miss her when she moves out. Just glad she will be near enough to still pop back when she fancies a home cooked meal or natter.

Collected prescriptions from the chemist this morning and as there is only one dd and me eating at home (DH still cannot eat much) had a simple lunch from things I baked earlier and made pizzas for tonight.

Watching a film downstairs before turning in so I don't disturb DH.

    Hugs to all

Athena had the owl, a wise woman :)

Left the house to go food shopping, took an hour to walk round. OH said next he's getting me wheel chair trolley or electric scooter so he can have a tan lol shouldn't have gone but cabin fever has well and truly set in.

Made luxury hot chocolate and ginger biscuits for the boys, laughed so much our stomachs hurt to top gear . after fish for dinner boys played on games and both have just to bed not long ago.

So I have dragged my back side to bed, took painkillers and instead to stay wrapped up in warm duvet for rest of the night.

Tomorrow painting begins, never know oh might finish all the purple off then its just the gloss. Plan slowly coming together
