Secret EE upgrade for xmas. Do EE send texts like they do with new contracts?

I hope someone knows the answer to this as EE can't give a definative answer.

Daughter has iphone 4s on tmobile (my contract). I am upgrading it to 5s with EE. Not a new contract. An upgrade. But it's a secret. For xmas. Now i can probably manage to put the new nano sim (with adapter) in her 4s until xmas day without her knowing. But what i'm worried about is the 'welcome to EE' or 'Thanks for upgrading', or even worse 'Enjoy your new iphone 5s' texts.

Does anyone know if they send such giveaway texts with an upgrade as they do with new contracts ? EE said they don't, but i'm not so sure. Or can anyone think of a workaround to keep it a secret ?

Thanks!

simple, tell her that ee have just send a newer version of simcard as the other one is out of date. and to ignore any texts, as it had to be fudged on the system ;-)

are her numbers stored in the4s or on the old sim?

At least 3 texts will arrive - including texts like welcome to EE and check your new bill links.

I'd try and blag it that it is due to t mobile forcing you to switch to EE

No on the phone. So swapping sims won't be a problem ;)
