Smart Parking ticket

Hi Guys,

Im a young driver from Scotland and today I received a letter through the post from Smart Parking telling me Ive been fined £90 or £45 if paid in the 1st 14 days.

This is from parking in a retail park to go to a game of football, the same site where my friends are season ticket holders at the stadium and park here every week.

Obviously as a young driver Im worried about this. Do I need to pay this fine or simply ignore it.

Many Thanks

You haven't been fined by anyone and as this happened in Scotland just ignore it. Have no communication with any company about this whatsoever.

If you are bored read the NEWBIES thread.

Your age has nothing to do with it.

    Asda at Ibrox?
  • Thanks. will they be back in touch or anything for ignoring them? it does say on letter the are BPA Approved

No it was the Forge Retail Park next to Celtic Park (for a Scotland game may i add haha)

Yeah you will likely get a stream of letters. Which can safely be ignored.

They have no idea who was driving/parking so can't do anything.

The Forge gets used a lot I gather.
  • the pictures on the letter only state my number plate and apart from that you cannot see anything else

My friends have never received anything about parking there, which made me wonder straight away

Read the NEWBIES thread for info but as this took place in Scotland there is nothing to fear. File the letters.
  • Thank you very much for your help and easing my worry haha

Feel free to come back when you get more letters but remember there is nothing they can do so sleep easy.

Yup - Just ignore the bams. Nothing they can do up here and all contacting them does is prolong their attempts to scare you.

Have a look at the pre-POFA letter chain threads fo a fair idea of the sort of rubbish to expect from them. :)
  • hey again guys, its 5 month and i am still receiving letters from them. I have today received 1 from Zenith Collections. Offering me discount as it has just been passed to them. It is £80 or £140 in 2 weeks. These are starting to really annoy me as im sure u can imagine as I am receiving them every 3 weeks.
