They can not dictate "conditions" and charges that will be applied.
I would hope Visa on reading the twaddle and accepting your description the item is faulty, just reverse the transaction and they can collect it and try it on with someone else.
The bank are taking the p*ss tbh, they have said (I'm on the phone to them now) that I need to send it back recorded delivery :mad:0 -
Your other option is sending the retailer a letter before action stating you have rejected the goods as they do not conform to contract and that you expect a refund in no later than 14 days. At which point you will issue small claim proceedings - and at which time you will also be claiming costs reasonably incurred due to their breach of contract. You keep using that word. Looks like it's going to be this as the bank are refusing to take up the case unless I send it back recorded delivery :mad:0 -
Is this the washer you didn't want because it had no washer pipe supplied with it or did you go with the other supplier who offered a better service in the form of a second hand washer pipe?

Not that it makes any difference whatsoever, but they agreed to supply a pipe and so I happily took the machine.0 -

No point quoting latin when you fail at reading (and spelling - dont usually point out spelling mistakes but I'm making an exception) simple english.

Retailer insists their T&Cs supercede the law and will refund minus £30. Not acceptable.0
